Thanks, yeah that was what I meant. The away goal rule benefits Milan. All they have to do is win 1 nil and they'll be through.

They are similar to the Flames in that their away record stinks in the Premier. Their home record is up there with the best (only 5 goals conceded in 18 games) but away from Anfield they fall to pieces. They will compete for the title if they can sort out this problem. I have faith in the manager and the new owners (Hicks and Gillett) have promised funds to be able to compete with the ManU's and Chelsea's. I'm fairly confident that we will see the Reds compete seriously for the Championship in the coming seasons.

Especially for all the Milan naysayers who have been predicting the end of an era for the last three years. I like Man U and what they have to offer, I mean they have two of the best young footballers in the world, but I think Milan has more to offer or at least a different flavour that will make for a better final.

What a nice goal by Kaka to give Milan the lead and for the moment a place in the final.

Seedorf has just taken advantage of some poor defending by ManU to give Milan a 2 nil lead. Now ManU have to score two to stay alive but it doesn't look likely by the way they're playing.

A knock-out tournament (and one that uses penalty kicks to break ties) is not the best way to determine the best side.
11 Kaká (Milan) scores! Clarence Seedorf, on the right side of the penalty area, heads the ball into the path of Kaká and from just inside the box the Brazilian fires a crashing drive into the bottom corner with his left foot beyond the reach of Edwin van der Sar. His tenth goal in this season' s competition means the tie is now 3-3 on aggregate but Milan have the upper hand on away goals.
30 Seedorf (Milan) scores! Seedorf is involved again and Milan go 2-0 ahead on the night as the Dutchman takes down a right-wing cross with his chest before evading the challenges of Darren Fletcher and Nemanja Vidić and slamming the ball low past Van der Sar into the same corner of the net as the first goal.
78 Gilardino (Milan) scores! Milan get a breakaway and Alberto Gilardino finds himself with a clear run on goal with just Van der Sar to beat. The Italian international can seal their place in the final here and he makes no mistake, slotting the ball right-footed into the net for only his third UEFA Champions League goal in 52 appearances.

with 12 minutes left in the game Milan just put the final nail in the coffin to make it 3-nil. Unless ManU can pull out a miracle this one is done.

Instanbul revisited. I'm sure Milan will be gunning for revenge after blowing a 3-0 lead the last time.
I'm happy to face them again. No way could I have stomached the possibility of losing to the Mancs in the Euro Final. A win on the other hand would have been the sweetest victory ever!!!!!

Manchester United were exposed as pretenders today as they were completely outclassed by a much more skillful Milan side. A truly embarrassing effort quite frankly. As soon as United took off O'Shea for Saha and went to three at the back, they were immediately rewarded by Milan's third goal. Perhaps Saha was not fully match fit but Man U made the same mistake that Roma did going away to Old Trafford - going into a match with only one striker, trying to crowd the midfield and playing not to lose. They got what they deserved whilst Oddo and Gattuso made mincemeat of Ronaldo.
Milan are a much better team than Liverpool and should win quite handily in Athens but as the final from two years ago showed us, anything can happen in a one off match.

Liverpool vs Milan
The stage is set for another great UEFA Champions League Final. I think Milan have the talent and the hunger to win this one. Who's your pick?

Lightning can indeed strike twice. Liverpool to win in the PK once again, after a 1-1 draw.
Not sure that my nerves could take that again though!

I've been a Liverpool fan for most of my life, which makes me biased, but I think that they get a really bad rap. They were the 4th highest scorers in the Premier, they have a world class player in Gerrard, and have participated in some of the best cup finals in recent memory. (PK win over Milan, PK win over West Ham in the FA Cup, 5-4 win over Alves in the Uefa). Sure they can play very defensively and tactically but they also have the ability to play football too. Not run and gun a la Man U of course but, nevertheless, they can play when warranted and Benitez lets them!
Of course, feel free to miss watching Liverpool play tomorrow. There will be plenty of other people watching. Your choice.......
