in 2002, one of my buddies who was a scrub at the herald for a few months told me about CP, so i joined up and posted for a couple years. i quit before the big 04 run because i thought that i was bad luck for the flames. after that run and last year, i decided that i had absolutely nothing to do with the flames winning or losing so i started posting again.

I think it was 2002 when my friend Jeff, username "Jeff" showed me this site at school. I started checking it out then, and I registered in 2003. My first post was a Fata.

I joined back around March 2004 I used to use the Sportsnet boards from 2000 to 2004 but got tired of all the trolls, then one day somebody on the site mentioned Calgarypuck as a better alternative so its been ancient history since then.

I joined towards the end of 2003. I heard of this site form a few friends. I thought they were all a bunch of dorks posting on a website that talked only about the Flames. Now I have more posts then most of them do.

I beleive it was in the in the 02/03 season... lurked for the first part of the year, and started posting under the name "stellar_yeller" later on in the season... probably racked up around 600-700 posts, and then i think it was after the 04 season (some time during the lock out for sure) they got a new server and for some reason i didnt recieve my conformation email to renew my account.... so then i went back to lurking again for a while, then i decided to start posting again in 05...

EDIT- oh yea... i got the inside scoop from my old pal J pold...

Just passed my 5 year birthday being on CP

Was directed here by a family member that many of the others know as Abused_Flames_Fan after an "altercation" we had up at Rexall place.

Didn't post much after joining but CP as it had it's 'regulars' that frightened me. Thankfully the popularity of the board has seen posters that are much worse then I have to offer and thus I'm not afraid of the likes of Lanny or Reggie anymore

I found out about this site through TOTF. I used to drive down to Calgary to party and i'd stay at TOTF's house and he'd tell me how great this site was. That happened for a few months before I finally decided to check it out. I joined Calgarypuck in August 2005 and i'm glad I did. It's a good place. I then subsequently joined CPHL in July of 2006.

my story is very similar to maritime's story, except i didn't have any inside information on any prospects, about jan or feb of 04, was at calgaryflames.com forums, but just got tired of all the "omg iggy's hawt" threads and i remember in one thread that they heard about a trade i believe from here, so i came to this website and have been here ever since

Hulk's buddy Jeff introduced me to the site in 2000, right at the tail end of the tree format days when the site was www.addr.calgarypuck.com. I left the site for a year during the Savard/Gilbert wars and came back in the summer of 03. Now I'm on hiatus again except for the odd occassion.

I posted on cf.com from the early stages of '03. After the playoff run, that board was completely overrun by idiots. I remember a particular idiot whining about getting banned from this board and I've been here ever since.

August 2001 for me, although my registration date on this account says differently. I wish mods would fix that to October 16th, 2001.. but it's alright I know i've been around a long time.

That old tree board was the first I saw of CP.

A friend and occasional CPer introduced me to the site right before the start of the 2003-04 season. I racked up about 50 posts (under a different handle), lost my password, and joined up again in March of '04.

I still remember this password.

Fraser, you there? Nah, he never is anymore.

I lurked for a few months in the early parts of 2003 before officially signing on in July 2003. I can't exactly recall how I found out about the site. It was either from a newspaper article or a web search. Whatever, it has turned out to be my daily place of choice to visit on the internet. It really is a great community and actually a great source of information on the off topic board. Cowperson was my main way of keeping in touch with the world for quite a while there! I think it was a Lanny post that introduced me to geocaching which has turned out to be a huge pursuit of my entire family. Never would have found out about it except for CP.

Bingo and the gang have done a tremendous job here. Thanks very much guys!

I found the site at the beginning of the 03/04 season. I lurked a small amount. I mostly posted on Usenet at the time. I think I even signed up but I can't remember the username. I stuck with using usenet for a while though.

I was about to change over when some jerk came along and called all the people of usenet dumb because we simply didn't post on Calgary puck. Eventually the trolling and spam on usenet got to me so I signed up here in April of 2004. I didn't post regularily until a few weeks until after the playoffs were over but I did pitch in with a few posts here and there.

Since the begining. First poster not named Bingo.

Bingo would have to come up with the date....I'm thinking late 1997.
