I'm assuming you meant "number one talent". And well, she doesn't have to be. Being a smart girl, she took the money that she made off "Jagged Little Pill" and invested it very wisely rather than smoking or injected it. She's got more money than she will ever need even if she lives to be 1,000. Anything made off "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie", "So-Called Chaos" and "Under Rug Swept" is just gravy.
My personal favorite is her 2004 "So-Called Chaos" (9 songs with 4 stars or more; Jagged Little Pill only has 8). "So-Called Chaos" was more reflective, introspective and intellectual than most modern pop/dance.. which doesn't exactly lend itself to being at the top of the charts. But it certainly explains why I have 44 Morissette songs on my iPod and 1 Black Eyed Peas.

I'm kinda reminded of the back and forth Paul and John had. John wrote "How do You Sleep at Night?" about Paul writing crappy songs with useless lyrics with Wings while he (John) was writing "Imagine", "Give Peace a Chance", "Power to the People", "Happy Xmas", "Gimmee Some Truth", etc.. Paul then rebuttled with "Silly Love Songs" - basically saying the people *WANT* songs with silly, soppy useless lyrics. And maybe there is room in this world for both. But I'm in favour of dropping the obviously moronic, sophomoric, and distasteful lyrics that dominate dance music. Which are particularly obvious in BEP songs.
