That site reminds me of some of the pro Saskatchewan bill boards I have been seeing recently. I'm Albertan born and raised. But I took a promotion to Saskatoon for a few years a while back. All in all the city is great. But the pro Saskatchewan bill boards say things like "Rush hour is just minutes". Anybody that has driven in Saskatoon knows that that is complete BS. I have never seen a more poorly planned city for driving in my entire life. Maybe things have improved since I left in 2001. But that bill board just irks me everytime I see it. I kind of get the same vibe form the native NS who have moved to Calgary, refering to that web site.

And if anyone says otherwise, just tell them that beige extending to the horizon is the new chic hue.

There's more to this city than its understated beauty, as one blue-noser responding to his homeland's pitiful ploy at headhunting suggests. "The women (in Calgary) are better looking, and the ones that aren't at least can afford to get breast implants," said the man of substance.
Not mentioned is the fact it's no more than 45 minutes drive from anywhere in the city to a Sikome Lake that exists when it's not closed for -- what else -- construction. So surf's up, OK?

Laugh. He's bragging about Sikome Lake. You can walk across that lake and not even get your hair wet.

Gee, Sikome is actually pretty clean these days. I rather enjoy it, and the kids love it.

"Just ask Paris Hilton, lightning rod of resentment from those not suitably appreciative of her talents. With even more steel and glass and cranes on the way, we're sure to be every bit as pretty as her."

Wow in that article they compaire the beauty of the city to the beauty of Paris Hilton. Yea that should stick it to them loosers back east .

ANother thing is that the article kind of seems childish, they made fun of us so we are going to call them names and make fun of them.

I am not sure but most of that article seems to be written as a mockery of Calgary, maybe just me but I don't know. From bragging about Sikome "lake" to Calgary being the door mat for Banff.

coming from BC i guess i'm spoiled, but i find the lakes around here quite bad. i couldn't get over how bad the water smelled when i was up at Pine Lake. growing up in the Okanagan there were a good half-dozen large lakes within an hours drive, all mountain fed. i've yet to see anything east of the rockies that can compare
