This could be the 3rd season in a row where the Hitmen blow a 3-1 lead?

a bit off topic but you think Savage is worse than Thiessen? Maybe it is just that Thiessen has bad games against Lethbridge or the debacle against Red Deer to eliminate us in the play-offs is fresh in my mind but in my view nobody is worse than Thiessen.
I actually think that for the most part and in comparisson to his colleagues Rehman is not that bad.

Thiessen is younger, I believe. Savage has been around for years, and has shown no improvement during any of them. It may also be that we don't see Thiessen nearly as often in Calgary as we do Savage. Typically, when the topic comes up though, most WHL fans I talk to agree Savage is the worst.
Rehman simply does not control a game very well. Last night was a good example, as he twice had to use a makeup call to cover a bad call.

Looks like we get a direct comparison of how good a referee Thiessen is, as he is one of tonight's zebras.
Edit: And Herman is the other. Great. Wonder how long he can go before he decides the outcome in somoene's favour?

Hitmen absolutely working the Ice over in the 2nd, and finally break through Dakers for a 1-0 lead. Yeo from White and Dupont.
Sonne makes it 2-0 about a minute later!

One mistake in the third costs Calgary big time. Off to OT.
On the bright side, Herman got smart about Kootenay's "lean on the Hitmen player's stick and dive" move, and didn't call it tonight.

It's been a good game. The way both teams are skating and forechecking, I don't see OT lasting very long.
Calgary was getting into the Kootenay zone very easily in the last few minutes.

This has been easily the best game of the series. Not surprising that it is the only game that the zebras have let the two teams play. Hopefully the Hitmen start OT like they finished the third - with that level of desperation that Kootenay has not yet been able to match.
They were talking about the crowd tonight, and that the game is completely sold out. Two Oilers scouts made the 6 hour drive down, and were turned away because there were no seats left.

Wow, insane OT period so far.
..and I don't know who the play by play guy is but he's pretty dang good. Calls it pretty even - CBC should call him.
