Not meant to be an insult, but seriously, if you don't like it you'd better find a cave because its unavoidable. Bad side effects come with good technology.
There are already projects underway to use tracking technology in phones so that you can put in your destination and it can tell you the fastest route based on how many people are using each possible route you could take already. Sure the tradeoff is that if I end up pissing the government off in a legal way one day they can hunt me down. The benefit of lots of these technological advances outweight the negatives by a fair margin.
