That's the one that caught me. There was only one name I didn't know so that was the one I picked. I didn't know Iona Campanola (sp?) was in that position. You rarely hear about who is the Lieutenant-Governor in other provinces.

I think the problem is that news coverage is less serious in the states. I mean the 24-hour news networks had wall-to-wall coverage of Anna Nicole Smith's death for like 6 days. My students don't have a clue about their own history and geography. I sometimes remark on the irony that I, a Canadian, am teaching them an American literary history class.....
You're right, they wouldn't know that..because I don't know the Governor of states beside mine either. It's just not in the media...you're right, the media is more entertainment/celebrity based. Yup, the coverage of ANS is still on tv, even this afternoon.

It's quite important that you know who your province's liason to the queen is. I'm sure every Canadian has put that knowledge to use at some point in their life!

Okay, so I got one wrong. But I can drink a two-four without puking. That must count for something ... I'm mean toward being a Canadian that is.

Well, I may be taking one of these tests in the near future. I've lived in Canada for 14 years now, firstly as a "landed immigrant" and now as a "Permanent Resident." My wife and children are all Canadian and I "feel" Canadian. I'll always be British but a huge part of me now belongs to this great country.

I've got a little work to do. I got 94% on all questions. Most of the wrong ones were related to the BC questions though. Perhaps I'd do alright.

edit: I also answered "Yes" after each of Shazam's scientific questions. Right on! I am Canadian!!!

Ugh, rye. No way. I meant a two-four of beer ... a 24-pack. Rye would definitely make me puke.

all perfect.

I heard from a friend that there's a couple questions in the exam that you have to get them right...else you will have to re-do the test....even if you are 19/20. That's just tough.
