Here goes

1. No such thing - Th' legendary shack shakers
2. all my friends are dead - turbonegro
3. bootleggers son - one man army
4. kenny - Time Again
5. six more miles - Mike Ness
6. let it burn - Ignite (Our darkest days is an incredible album).
7. to have and to have not - Lars Frederiksen & the *******s
8 brunin desire - the matadors
9. jumpin the shark - lawrence arms

On that note Th' legendary shack shakers are a great band, their new album pandelirium is a current favourite. Describing their musical style is nearly impossible but here's whats been said about them . "Channeling roots music, delta blues, murder-balladry, hillbilly, punk, and polka,."Fans of Tom Wait should check out the song monkey on the doghouse its been compared to Waits.

Yea, I went to James Cook University up in Townsville (Go Cowboys!) back in 2005. Definately picked up a lot of good music from the Aussies. Hilltop Hoods' Nosebleed Section and Recapturing the Vibe are good 'pre-game' songs for me ... really enjoy John Butler Trio and Xavier Rudd. Heard heaps of Reef, Pete Murray and Ben Lee (hahaha) down there too.

Know anything else I might enjoy, kind of like JBT or Rudd?

Easy Star All-Stars - Paranoid Android (a surprisingly sweet reggae cover)
Alkaline Trio - Burn
Maxeen - Love Goes A Long Way
Better Than Ezra - Juicy
Mitch Hedberg - This CD Is In Stores
Neko Case - Furnace Room Lullaby
Stephen Malkmus - 1% of One
Cornbread Red - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams (a bluegrass cover, again pretty sweet)
Sugarcult - How Does It Feel
Warrant - Cherry Pie

Wow, a fairly diverse list, but I like all the songs on it. I guess Mitch Hedberg isnt a song, just a track from his CD, but it is funny stuff though.

Sweet, Townsville is an awesome town. If I could have found a job up there I would have moved there by now. Too bad there is all sorts of flooding up in that area right now and crocs all over the place.

Hmm, what other music might you like if you like JBT and Xavier Rudd? So folkier rock... your best bet is probably The Beautiful Girls. Also check out Bernard Fanning's solo CD ('Wish you well' was a great song), Augie March, Youth Group (the song 'Forever Young' is an instant classic), Sarah Blasko, Eskimo Joe's 'Black Fingernails, Red Wine'.

Check out any of the above on Youtube and see if there is anything you like.

Just cleared out ITunes so I could reload everything onto my Ipod with album covers and ratings and playlists and such, so I only have 30 or so albums on there so far. So my list isn't as diverse as it might be otherwise. But maybe it's more representative of my tastes at the moment, because I'm loading LPs on that I listen to quite often first. So here goes:

Lovestoned/I Think That She Knows - Justin Timberlake
Classy McNasty - Louis Logic & JJ Brown
What The F@ck Part 1 - De La Soul
Rollin' Out (f/ Supastition) - Little Brother
Once Again - Girl Talk
High Road (f/ John Legend) - Fort Minor
Tear It Down - Army Of The Pharaohs
Song For Clay (Disappear Here) - Bloc Party
Flypaper - K-Os
No Time - Sound Providers
