I’m a Tito fan, he carried the UFC on his back for a very dark period… I also don’t agree with the Huntington Beach Bad Boy reputation he has either… most of it I always thought the Lion’s Den deserved after they would continued to disrespect Tito. Unfortunately he either isn’t the same fighter he was before or he just wasn’t as good as I thought.
Tito hasn’t beat a ranked fighter since 2001… Shamrock x 3, Griffin, Cote, Matyushenko, Sinosic. Not exactly knocking off the top of the food chain. He has a decision victory over Belfort and an argument could be made about vitor being a victory over a quality opponent… regardless 1 top fighter over a 5 years span. I hope to see him back and regain his form but a poor showing against Griffin (great 1st round) and two victories over a washed up fighter doesn’t really make him a realistic (ontop of his game) fighter to defeat the 3rd best fighter in the world in that weightclass.
I wish he was
