Leave the Studio out of this! Great place for catching football on Sundays.
My least favorite is the Auto Value Autoparts. I hate that guy soooo much.

LOL. That ad is really annoying. Glad somebody else agrees with me.
As someone with a genuine British accent that fake accent really bugs me! (Admittedly I likely have a mid-Atlantic accent now as I get bugged all the time by people 'back home' about my Canadian accent!)

Forget that, I didn't know Chinatown has moved 8 blocks south, or that we had a Korea Town, Little Italy, or, that Electric Avenue was still significant enough to warrant a sign.
That said, these will sell out in less then 2 weeks I bet.

"I like convenience!"
Not me, lady. I hate it. Who in their right mind would like that?
I believe that background song is an actual song in the down-tempo genre. I can't remember who made it... but now I hate it.
What about the statement: starting from the low $200's? were those first two studio units selling for $230?, then escalting to... I admit I don't know what the going rate is for a non-view place. I'd bet you'd be looking at half-mil+ for anything resembling a view...

Yeah I noticed those too. I think there is a Really Little Italy in Bridgeland or something, but if it does exist it sure as hell isn't there. The funny thing about Chinatown is that the Chinese Cultural Centre is represented in the right place, but it's a long way from ChinaTown (aka Ribtor).
The whole thing looks like a first-timers try at SimCity.
People are going to be paying a fortune for these things. Hopefully not too many of them go in thinking they'll be living in the heart of the action.

oh man.... even with a fairly decent knowledge of the main parts of the city and going in full well that the map was innacurate before i looked at it, it took me a fair bit of time to get my bearings with their zoomed in part and where on the map it actually would fall....

I like London. Mainly because i was born here and lived here pretty much my whole life. I haven't heard the commercial but i can guess the fake British accent is like my fiancee's impression. You say something about $30 for lunch! Wow, where can this great, cheap deal be found :P
So basically, there is a new condo complex and they are saying it is like living in London? That's very amusing.
The commercial should say:
"Oi guvna, cum liv rand ere, its well nice innit"
"traffix a total bollok ache tho"

They don't tell you what part of London the condos are supposed to emulate. Judging by the surrounds, they are probably going for a Brixton feel.

A Brixton feel...
That usually involves a gun and hearing the words: "give" "money" "shoot".

Let's not forget Guy, and the Sunrooms Direct (or something like that) add. He's going to save you from the evil rain cloud that wants to ruin your day... That's another commercial that needs to go away...

Totally on board with you guys and that ad. However, my current hate on is for that flippin Flamingo Telus commercial you see like 100 times during a game. I almost have to leave the room these days when it comes on, it is SOOOOOOO overplayed.

Im the same way with the snowmobile ad that comes on every commercial break during games... the thing is, usually, when something is rammed down my throat every 2 minutes, i remember it..
All i remember is it going over the same lame jump... and i can honestly say I have no idea what company its for. What does that say about the commercial?

I hate almost all those commercials on Fan 960. The ones I hate the most though are the promotions for the different shows ON FAN 960. I think they are such a waste of airtime. They are only significant if you have NEVER listened to FAN 960, how many times to we have to be told that the Dave Rowe show is on at time x or the the Rob Kerr show is on at time y etc etc. The "lick of the game" over and over. We get told it again and again. Is it to fill in air time, what other reason do we need to be told someting so repititvely?

'I like London in the Rain' by Variety Lab on Hotel Costes 4 (great down tempo CD)...I will never be able to listen to it again without thinking about cohnveenience, shaawping, the thea-tah blah blah blah...limey bahstahds!
I also agree with the Canon commercial being really bad, what is with that crazy Dimension-X sound in the background?

I didn't read the whole thread, so I don't know if it has been mentioned, but the ads that bother me the most on 960 are those beef jerkey ads where you can hear the person chewing... then they always say "bite me" at the end. I want to barf every time I hear those.
