Long bump, but I remember the OP Temporary_User. He had a real good night at the CP softball team tournament one year. Best wishes, hope all is well.

Definitely an old thread - Superstore has fridges now!

That said, the cheapest liquor store is whatever is on sale at any chain. Know your prices is key, but generally the sale prices are coordinated by the distributor and AGLC - this is when you'll get the "best" price (aka a good competitive price)

And avoiding some stores that mark up due to location. My local non chain store is like that. Noticeably more expensive.

Its all relative imo...

Would I drive from Deer Valley to Superstore to saye 2.47 on a case of beer when my local non chain has it as well ?

If I am heading that way sure...but its not worth a special trip.

That said, the non chain by the 7-11 in Queensland is the cheapest in the area and usually gets most of my business.

Can confirm. A few people I've told go well out of their way to stock up there.

This. If I'm after something that is in high demand (Nanaimo cream or Alberta Premium cask strength), I head to Co-op.

Saves on gas and time driving all over the city to get $5 off.
