Is it right? No. But thats how the world works.

Why isn't it right. Let's see in this one arbritary city they decide to put up playground signs where there is no playing taking place or where there is sufficient fences in place anyway. So people should slow down there to do what is right?

So it's right why? It isn't right and should be changed. There are other solutions --- blind obedience to a situation you can clearly see isn't correct is what --Right or what?

I'm fairly certain this is incorrect. The crosswalk must be marked for pedestrians to cross there. I can think of quite a few unmarked intersections that would be very, very hazardous for a person to cross.

I dont mind school zones for elementary schools but having one for a jr high is stupid you would think by 11 or 12 you should know not to run out on the road without looking first .

I got a ticket in an area with one of those, going down a hill I let my car coast to 12km over the speed limit at 8:45 on a Sunday morning. Because of the sign being located right in an intersection, I didn't even see it because I was more focused on on-coming traffic.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but don't the cops have better things to do than pick on someone who's probably only ever gone over the speed limit in a playground zone once or twice in his life? If the fine you send isn't at least $100, it's probably not going to be effective, dummies! I think the signs should say "when children are present" not a mandatory time sign. More like a school zone.

It depends on the street whether or not I stick my arm out. However, I don't think it's that difficult to tell someone wants to cross the street when they are actually standing on the edge of the gutter and looking at the drivers in a residential area. Unless you're in Forest Lawn. Then you're probably a hooker.
