Well, so much for that!
I still think it is a bad strategy to throw a challenge. Who will trust Ozzy, since he was so obviously dogging it.
And I guess sending smart people to exile island isn't a good idea. They need to hide that idol better.

Tough break KFF, I thought Becky was going for sure. And the more and more I watch this show, the more and more I wish I would have rigged the draft order so that I could have drafted Yul, the guy is awesome and someone you could totally root for.

Yeah, I got ripped off. Not sure why those two decided to switch over and vote against my girl, I wouldn't trust Johnathan at all. And if they voted for Becky with the others they still had the numbers. Grrrrrr.
You're right, Yul is looking good in this game, definitely one of the people I'd like to see win.

I thought it was a good episode last night, the merge wasn't surprising. The one and only other time that the people were split into four tribes, they became two tribes after two episodes. The only thing that bothered me was the challenge. It was an EXACT ripoff of the challenge from 2 seasons ago. I know the majority of the challenges are very similar to ones done in the past, but this was EXACTLY the same. Having said that, it's definitely one that I would never wanna do. That would be painful as hell.

The only difference in the challenge was the water aspect.
2 seasons ago, wasn't it done on the beach? Or am I mistaken?
Plus, my boy Yul has the Idol! Go Yul!

she appeared to be the swing vote last night....she will have to be careful about who she has in her allegiance or could be a victim.

It was in the water then, as well, but I think the course then had one end deeper than the other. This one looked to be a pretty consistent depth.

Okay, now I remember. There was more of an incline on the previous challenge. Previously the teams were more evenly matched, this one was over very quick.

I don't know if it was an incline or it was the tide. I remember Jeff saying that in the last season, that the challenge will get tougher as it gets longer because of the tide.
And I also remember it being a lot longer a couple years back and Stephanie lasted longer than most of the guys. If I remember correctly, there was only like 2 or 3 people left from each tribe last time. God I miss Stephanie, she was awesome.

Good episode last night. I'm glad they re-did that challenge, it definately was one of my favorites overall. Strength, Endurance and a little bit of Strategy, everything Survivor is supposed to be.
Yul is looking to be in a great spot but I think he might fall to the curse of third place. Looking back on some of the seasons, the best player usually ends up getting voted out last because no one wants to go against them in the final two (Rob C., Johnny Fairplay, Terry from last season). It's obviously not always the case but I could see it happen if Yul gets to final three. Didn't see the preview for next week so I don't know what going to happen but here's oping Ozzy can change the direction of the tribe....

While Johnny Fairplay was very entertaining, I don't think he deserves to be mentioned with the other 2. Other than Rupert, that was a pretty bland season.
I would replace Johnny Fairplay with Kathy, then I would say those 3 are the 'best' players who didn't win.

I know a lot of people, Probst included, think Rob C. was a smart player but I think he really was an idiot who was surrounded by even bigger idiots. If I were there I would have looked to kick that guy off from the start. It was clear from the start that he was an annoying idiot and that he would use everyone. How nobody saw this and voted him off is beyond me.

Even though Johnny Fairplay didn't seem like he was a huge player in the game, I think that he was a lot smarter then it came across. He knew what he was doing the whole game and his strategy of making people hate him so that they would take him to the final 3 almost worked (if it wasn't for Lill, the most undeserving final 2 ever). As an owner of the DVD box set of Pearl Islands Fairplay did commentary and he told everyone his strategy the whole way (which was to align with Burton and then at the jury just say "He took 9 days off the game so he shouldn't win). It's all personal opinion but I think Fairplay was a great player of the game.
But I will agree that Kathy should have been in that list and I apologize...

No need to apologize - I think Fairplay was highly entertaining; I just don't think he was that good of a player and if the other 3 listed so far were in the same game Fairplay may have been hardpressed to make the it near the end. (And I wholly agree about Lill).

Sorry I didn't update this thing last week, I didnt watch the episode because of the Flames game but was able to watch it last night on Shaw on Demand(99cents..commercial free....pretty cool feature) and to my huge surprise, my guy JP gets booted. I didnt see it coming at all, I know you see the girls scheming before the vote to get him off, but I didnt think Parvati would go thru with it and I sure as hell didnt think the 2 other guys would vote JP off.
Weak challenges last night though, but good god, that Ozzy dude can swim, he kicked JP's ass.

Sorry Pope, Stephanie got booted. Not a huge surprise, she;s one of those contestants that you just know will be booted within the first 5 shows or so. Just filler.

Yep...still amazes me why some people bother applying to be on the show, then think its too hard once there. What do they expect? A tropical holiday? Dumb dumb dumb....and dumber. The cop got lucky last night due to Stephanie's ignorance and inability to control her mouth before she put her brain in gear.
