After watchng three quarters of the Ravens-Raiders game can people stop talking about this Ravens team as a super bowl team?

Their offense is brutal. Everyone loves to rave about Mcnair but they had the ball for basically the whole first half and had great field position and scored one TD and 3 FG's. This against a team that San diego was able to walk all over offensively.

The Ravens D is good but their O is still as bad as ever even with the media darling Mcnair running the show.

Meh, give it time. That offense isn't going to click instantly, but I think they'll be fine.

As long as the defense has confidence in the offense and wants to play up to their capablities, this team can still go a very long way. Part of the Raven's problem last season was motivation.

Colts- Solid game vs a brutal team. The running game actually looked decent, Addai will be starting soon. If your looking to pick someoneup in a few weeks for your fantasy team, get this guy. Defense looked quite good, Texans got all there Td's against the Colts backup defense.

Are the Packers a sub par team? yes Are they worse then the Raiders? No

Miami and Tampa Bay= most overrated teams in the league. Chris Simms is defintley in the top 3 worst starting QB's. The Bucs are averaging 1.5 points a game. Miami just played one ugly game, Losman was 1 for 6 at half and they're losing. Ronnie Brown is going to be one amazing RB though

Looks like the hot pick for the SB the Panthers are going to be 0-2.

Nice guarntee Roy Williams, the Lions will suck for another year. Mike Martz is not a mastermind

Tomlinson is the best back in the league. Granted they are 2 brutal teams he has played against, but everyone in the stadium knows he is going to ben handed the ball, and he is still putting up the yards.

And quite the choke by the Eagles. They had the game in hand, and started farting around, and before they know what was happening the game was tied and going into OT.

Half way through the 3rd q and Plummer and the Broncos haven't put any puts on the board.
Alex Smith just threw a 72 yard td pass to Bryant to put the 49ers ahead of the Rams.

They just zoomed into some woman screaming "you suck dick" at Plummer after another incompletion.

Denver has not looked good.

Any chance we see the rookie in for Plummer today?

Wish I could see that 49ers game.

Think it is safe to get an A.Smith jersey yet?

Edit: just looking the the SD/Tenn stats.

Collins 3/12 30y 1 int
Rivers 23/33 218y (0 TD, 0int)

Guess they are letting him throw a bit today.

Suddenly the Broncos are moving the ball, inside the 10 again, maybe they can punch it in this time around.

Solid come from behind victory for my Vikings....keeping pace with the Bears in the NFCN. The O-Line needs some work.

The Raiders are BY FAR the worst team in the league, hands down....they just look awful on offense. The defense is alright, but if they are on the field for 90% of the game, they will get torched.

My god...in a fantasy matchup this week I'm playing against the Ravens defense and LJ Smith...and am getting blown out of the water. Hopefully Washington covers +7, then I am a winner on my ticket.

They will harp on the Seahawks O after today in against the Card's but, the defense the Hawks have is stunning.

The pack are miles ahead of the awful Raiders, their defence played amazing to start the game, caused three turnovers in the first three posessions vs. my Saints. Thank the Lord we have Drew Brees, he actually showed heart and a competitive spirit when the Saints were down 13-0.

The Seahawks D is very impressive, though for fantasy leagers, trade whatever you can for that Chargers D, wow!

My conclusions as we wind down with week 2.

1. Oakland, Tampa, Tennessee and Green Bay are bad. Real bad.
2. San Francisco is going to compete this year.
3. Maybe the Chargers weren't stupid to let Brees walk after all.
4. Speaking of Brees, the Saints might be a decent team.
5. Baltimore and Chicago are for real. They are more than just good defenses.
6. Carolina is done.
7. The Giants win today saved their season.
8. Warrick Dunn is the most underrated running back in the NFL.
9. The Chiefs defense is miles ahead of where it has been.
10. The Broncos offense is miles behind where it has been.

You can say that again.

Jim Nantz was kind enough to remind me that they started last season almost the exact same way. So I guess I should expect things to turn around soon.

The defense has been great. No TD's in 2 games. I like.

They've been running the ball well.

Walker finally looked worth the money today.

The 49ers are going in the right direction, I'll say it again. Alex Smith is coming into his own, even with an injured offense line today, Frank Gore is one heck of a back, Antonio Bryant is good enough to be a #1 in this league and Davis at TE has a shot at being one of the best TE's in the league. Go Niners!

and it continues.....Terrell Owens out with a broken finger, saw his press conference after the game and he announced he'd be out 2-4 weeks.

I'm torn. I hate Dallas, but since I really want TO to get what's coming to him, I hope the 'Boys don't even notice he is gone.

Anyone else wonder if Marion Barber is going to become the feature back sooner rather than later? I've been a Julius Jones fan, but Barber always seems to make the most of his limited carries and Jones has put the ball on the ground a bit more often than I think Parcells likes.

My Seahawks looked meh. Good enough to beat an improved Arizona team, but still not as easy as it looked.
Hasselback looked average..reminding me of the 2003 scatter brained "me first" Hasselback, where he walks on the field with no helmet, the first series after at AZ TD...and the first play, a brutal underthrow for an INT.

First time he completed less the 50% of passes in 2 seasons, too.

Suddenly, Arizona has all the momentum, and drives down the field, down only by 11 points...the TE later fumbles in the drive in at least FG range and Seattle is in the clear, but not that re-assuring to see mental mistakes like that from Hasselback...I've seen too much of that over the past 5 years.

Hopefully they can pull it together and beat the crap out of the (IMO) completely overhyped, eastern media darling, Giants next week. Shame it wouldn't be to put the Giants down (and almost out) at 0-3.

After what they did today, I'm not sure the Giants are overhyped media darlings. Before today, I would've agreed. Watching them come back in Philadelphia was impressive.

I still think Seattle wins that game by virtue of a much superior defense. Branch should help them by then too.
