Nice Bump.

Stephen Marley -Mind Control

I am not a huge reggae fan but this was album has rocked my world in many ways. On a side note....it is insane how much Stephen sounds like his father.

I've got a little EP by Spys 4 Darwin. Anybody familiar?

6 great tracks...really tough to find.

Consists of Sean Kinney and Mike Inez from Alice in Chains, Chris DeGarmo original Queensryche guitarist and vocalist Vin Dombroski.

Anyone at all familiar with Dombroski? I'd be interested in checking out anything he's sung on.

In any case, I'd be surprised if another person reading this thread has even heard of this EP let alone owns it.

I've been listining to "Marvin the Album" - Frente! - it's one of the few albums where I can listen to the whole thing over and over again. Also digging way back, "Shiver" by Rose Chronicles and both early Tara MacLean albums "Silence" and "Passenger" are enjoyable.

Murder Ballads from Nick Cave..this isn't a cd for everyone but it's got some great songs and 99% of the time you can count on the Bad Seeds to kick ass.

Yes. Absolutely fantastic disc.

I took a chance on Bright Eyes (I'd never listened before) and picked up I'm Wide Awake It's Morning. Awesome folky-indie sound with some really, really refreshing songwriting. It won't be for everyone but IMO it's a great listen.

If you're into glitchy, ambient, down-tempo-ish electronic instrumental stuff, I just picked up Run Return's album Sum of an Abstract. Very cool stuff.

I also can't stop listening to Bloc Party. Both Silent Alarm and A Weekend in the City are fantastic albums. Very very solid.

"The Dead Live By Love" - Mendeed
"This War Will Last Forever" - Mendeed

Two awesome cds in my opinion. The band broke up not long ago, something to do with their record label I think. Nevertheless, two awesome cds, which I haven't found anywhere in the city yet, but I downloaded.

Some others I like:

"Hate Crew Deathroll" - Children Of Bodom
"Are You Dead Yet?" - Children Of Bodom
"The Crusade" - Trivium
"Resurrection" - Chimaira
"With Oden On Our Side" - Amon Amarth
"Thread Of Life" - Shadows Fall
"Shadows Are Security" - As I Lay Dying
"Requiem" - The Confession
"A Haunting Curse" - Goatwhore

If you like country/rock

I'd highly... highly recommend:

Chris Knight.

This guy is rocking the hell out of my speakers right now. Very very good artist.
