The more I look at the 360 version the more I'm considering getting a 360 now that beginning Monday I'll finally have some money coming in on a regular basis. It's not like I ever treat myself to something expensive and it's not like it'll sit collecting dust. I usually wait until something goes down a couple hundred before getting it.
Right now at Futureshop I can get a 360 with a free game(Perfect Dark: Zero or some cartoony game) and if I go over $500 I can get $50 off. I was thinking of getting a 360 Bundle, Perfect Dark: Zero, an extra controller, and Fight Night: Round 3.

Wow, I bought a 360 hoping for something maybe half as good, but that looks simply real. Question for CF, being new the whole xbox live thing, will they do the roster updates a la the computer version? I can't wait I've always been a console guy, I have to have the larger screen, and was always willing to sacrifice some graphics to do so, but it looks like that is in the past.

What's the deal with July 13th? It's the 16th, so what new information can be talked about now?

Three new 360 videos:
http://www.gameinformer.com/News/Media/Media.htm?CS_pid={DC222E89-2F09-4C68-A64E-E4C8FBBF9338}
Wow, in the first video, Demitra gets tripped by an attempted poke-check!
The only thing I can see that bugs me so far, is at 2:24 of the third video, Parrish winds up for a slapshot, and when he follows through ( facing away from the net) the puck seems to magically go the completley opposite way it realistically should, and goes on goal. Kinda weird.

haha, i love how in the first video when Boston scores you can hear the Minnesota fans cursing and yelling. THAT's how to make a realistic hockey crowd

The more gameplay I see the less enthused I become about this game. The player models look great. The puck physics look great. But the gameplay looks like it was the second class citizen again when they built the game. Perhaps it's because the gameplay videos may be on easy, but the whole new independent stick control makes it look likes it's easy to walk around players. In the little gameplay footage available it looks like people are just moving the stick around several times and the it confuses the D-man. Very few players can control a puck like that without opponents let alone with.
In some of the gameplay they've used the shootout to display how great the system is and it comes off looking poor in many cases. I believe the producer of the game in his chat and play video broke in moved to his forehand then back hand (all the way to the opposite post mind you without the player changing direction...ie. the luck was pulled straight across about 10 feet) and then all the way back to the forehand. It looked reidiculous. that and they don't know the standard penalty shot rule of always moving the puck forward. There is a video of I believe Hemsky taking a shootout shot and doing a spin-o-rama or two etc. (check out the shootout video from the ign site...I don't think anyone can say that looks good or smooth...especially the St. Louis shot. It looks pretty bad IMO).
On seeing the gameplay footage it went from must buy on the first day down to will rent both NHL 07 and 2k7 and see which one (if either) is worth buying. Last year neither game was worth buying. If it's the same this year I'll content myself with Winning Eleven and Fifa 07 for sports. I'm not the only one...I've talked to several co-workers who were very excited when the hands on writeups cam out to feeling the same as me. It looks like the same old same old from EA....great presentation and sub-par gameplay.

It most likely is on Easy. Lets face it, the majority of people want to see how you can score goals and not how a defenseman can break up a play.

"Crazy delicious gameplay" lol I can't believe they actually put that in a press video.
Looks good... Pretty much the same game though as 2k6. But man do their equipment models suck.
