I dunno, the movie is called Superman Returns, I think it was fitting that he made his first appearance in a big way. Im sure that's why they did it like that.

I am not surprised F&F Tokyo Drift is getting good reviews. The drifting scene is about to explode in North America. It's very exciting to watch and very exciting to participate in.

It isn't. It has a 36% freshness rating at rottentomatoes.com and looks like it is going to gross less than 70 million in NA, less than Nacho Libre which released the same week.

Anyone who hasnt seen it, go see it, great action, good story and contrary to FG's comment about the plot holes, there isnt any. I think I know which one he was thinking about, Im not gonna write it because I dont wanna spoil anything, but FG......have an imagination. It's a Superman movie, it's fantasy, reality doesnt always have to play here.

I wasn't expecting realism, but the story was weak and very predictable.
I think xmen3 was a lot better.

An action movie isn't one scene anymore than a drama is one lame plot twist you see coming a mile away. That movie sat somewhere in the middle of being either genre and didn't do either well. Not saying it doesn't have it's moments, liked the intro and the lead but the script was horrible.

I think you're bang on. The problem wasn't acting, though Kate Bosworth was TERRIBLE as Lois. Brandon Routh was actually pretty decent, and Kevin Spacey gave a scene-chewing performance, which is what that role calls for.
But the script was kind of all over the place. At first, it seemed to want us to ask the question "Does the world need Superman"--which given a sort of old-fashioned boy-scout superhero is probably a fair question: how does Superman work in this post 9/11 world? But then that question never gets answered, and instead we get a rather treacly and cliched ending. Big disappointment, and I'm a fan of Brian Singer's.

I enjoyed the movie. I thought Routh did an excellent job as Superman and Spacey played an excellent Lex Luthor. Predictably the movie killed the competition in the box office this weekend ( NA Box Office Totals), but I wonder how much more money DC comics/Warner Bros. stands to make off of merchandise? I went to Wal-Mart this morning, and holy $%&#!! Superman logos on everything.

I'm going to be a total girl right now, but Brandon Routh was super hot! And for a relative no-name, he was a pretty decent actor. The movie itself was good, I didn't like Kate Bosworth as Lois, I thought she seemed too young for the part. I enjoyed Parker Posey the most though, my favorite role of hers since Scream 3 where she was the best part of the not-so stellar sequel.
