Sundays are my only day off, so that works perfect for me. (If I was welcome on the team )
What's the cost? Is it Co-Ed?

Depends on the league...we played as late as 6pm in our sunday league

Calgary Sport and Social is Co-Ed...you need 2 women playing at all times.
Cost for us was roughly $50 each for a dozen of us

CMPunk, assuming a CP team were to be set up, do you want to help setup/administer the team with me? We both have experience in the CSSC.

I'll do what I can to help out, but I think I'm done floor hockey til the spring. I've got my winter hockey starting soon.
I suggest starting a sign up thread for the CSSC sunday league and see how it goes. You're big issue is getting enough girls. I suggest starting in the really rec league and then see how you do after a season

Is the CSSC the league where you have to use those short plastic hockey sticks? If it is I'm out, as a 6'3" guy, I refuse to use a stick that's half my height and forces me to run around hunched over.
I'd play in the GHL league.

Nope, you can use those ones, or use a DOM Elite stick.

You can buy an XT (extra tall) version of the Dom Elite stick. I am 6 foot 3 and that's what I have. The regular version also can be plugged easily.

- Where?- To be determined. CSSC plays in a variety of places. You'll usually play at 2 or 3 different venues.
- Ice in the winter or only indoor?- It is floor hockey, why would we need Ice?
- Coed?- Yes...minimum of two girls on the floor at all times
- How many hours?-Games are usually an hour

I played for a few seasons with CSSC. The last season I really hated it. Even in the rec league, most of the games were just way too serious.
Also anyone starting up a soccer team PM me, I'd love to get in on it.

Well any sport is going to get serious, it's just a matter of how. My team (usually) plays to win, but we mock each other the whole time when we screw up and the majority of our opponents are good natured about things. You do get the odd guy or girl that lets things go a bit far, but otherwise we've enjoyed the games.

My hope is to create a new team for the Fall season starting September 27th. Any interest? My hope is to play in a Sunday Rec-Plus or Sunday Recreational League as it is more about having fun and getting some exercise from my viewpoint.

If you're interested in joining the league, it doesn't matter what part of town you live in. The CSSC games are played at at least 4 different venues throughout the city

I'm out for Sunday. I already got floor hockey that day from 5:30 to 9:00.
I'm thinking of joining the Wednesday or Friday GHL league though. Anyone else interested?

Having played in both the CSSC and the GHL, the GHL is much better
