Too bad Dell isn't in the automotive industry, yet.
The car would last forever and they would be more than willing to help you with any repairs along the way.
Dell, is there anything they can't do?

Daytime running lights is still optional in the States IIRC, but most automakers can easily activate it through the car's computer. Some cars have dual gauges, on others the gauge face (or whole unit) may have to be replaced.
Be aware that some manufacturers may try and protect their respective business unit's market strategies (USA vs Canada), and may void warrantees on vehicles that were "improperly" moved over the border (ie to take advantage of a higher dollar vs moving your family).

And when the car breaks down, you call their roadside assistance and get transferred to a call centre in India that, once they figure out you need a tow truck, dispatch the truck to a location 2,000 km from where you are...

Or they charge another car to my credit card while I'm driving away in the one I bought

Drive away?
No way.
If it was made by Dell, you would be jetting away on your Dell Delorian hybrid, complete with a flex capacitor that was powered by 100% ethanol and smelled like french fries when you drove it.
Hello, McFly!

Yes and your car would have to be replaced every year due to being obsolete. It could 'crash' at any time for any reason.

well my first ever new car buying experience was last year when i bought my Mazda3 GT (4 door) at Sunridge Mazda. i must have made that salesman's day as i needed the car ASAP (old one died) and didn't haggle at all. all in all i got it fully loaded for just under $25,000 after taxes, which is almost exactly what i was quoted on the mazda.ca site
i've also been very impressed with Sunridge Mazda. i've only had a remote starter installed and 1 oil change, but their service seems quite good. and with my car turning a year old i've yet to have any issues with it whatsoever. been a nice change from the pieces of crap i've owned before

Should have had your oil changed more than once by now?

Good little number, the new GTI. I don't know if they've finally got the new Golf models available in Canada (they had a surplus of old bodies made in Mexico and I know the model series in North America have been lagging behind), but I've had the chance to test drive the Polo GTI, new Passat and R32 in the past few months here in Tokyo (our agency works with them here in Japan, and I get to go with them on photo shoots). You'll really like the GTI - fun to drive and good pickup. The price sounds about right around the $30K level.
