Didn't they have a flare up or something a few weeks later? Something that missed cleansing? I wonder how much business is down.
Never did like their burgers, flame broiled is the only way to go for me.

They are flame broiled, aren't they? I thought they went along a conveyor?

Never had Burger Inn, just have a thing for Peter's. Luckily I wasn't around for any of the Peter's poisoning so my image is not tainted. Since I was a kid I just love Peter's.

Peter's Drive Inn is the most OVER RATED restaurant in the world. The shakes are good, but the food? Give me a break. I make better burgers at home.

The other one is in the Brick Plaza, just north of Southland Drive on Macleod Tr., on the opposite side of Chapters.
Burger Inn all the way. But Peters shakes are excellent...

Burger in has four or five locations. The two I know of are on MacLeod Trail near 90th, by the Brick, and on Edmonton Trail in Airdrie.
I grew up on Burger Inn burgers in Airdrie, so I'm partial to them. However, going to Peters then a ball game has often been a bit of a tradition as well.
That all said, there isnt a fast food burger in the world that compares to a home made, BBQed hamburger.

Burger Inn is great (and probably better), but I'm still gonna have to say Peters. I'm not sure why - probably because going there is more of an "event," if you know what I mean. Plus, the (non-e-coli'ed) milkshakes are fantastic.
And, fotze, that was... gross.

Nothing beats a Sour dough Jack from Jack in the Box when you're in the states.
In town though, I love Harvey's. I know it's a chain joint but it's still damn tasty. There's a Burger in on Bow trail that i've driven past about 300 times but never stopped in.
I'll get there eventually.

Speaking of the States ...
Years ago I lived in Atlanta and we used to drive through Alabama on our way to New Oreans. We always stopped at a burger joint called 'Cheebuger Cheebuger' .... I always got a good chuckle.

Tried Fatburger yesterday and wasn't that impressed. Expensive, service was bad (took FOREVER), burgers were overcooked.. They're supposedly very good in the US but not here I guess.

Burger Inn and Peter's have such different styles, they aren't really comparable. I like both.
I actually now enjoy Peter's fries, they are a bit of an acquired taste and you have to pile on the salt.
Believe it or not, I consider the Fatburger outlet here better than the Fatburgers in L.A. They are incredibly greasy down there, while up here they use the good Alberta beef so they're much lighter.

seems like burger inn is in the lead...maybe redman is right though...maybe peters is over-rated and it just lives off the peters mystique...but there is still something about those burgers...but did you guys know that edmontonians call peters "pete's"
i dont know a single person in calgary who calls its pete's but ive met over a dozen edmotonians who call it that...its as if they think they're being a "regular" by saying that...i dont know...silly edmontonians...will they ever learn?

I have had it and it's worth every penny. I couldn't finish the whole thing at lunch time so I had the rest after playing late night shinny. Not the best choice before going to bed but it's just too hard to resist.
This is the best burger I know of. I think I know what I'm doing for dinner tonight!

Tried Boogies today and I was very impressed with their burgers. Very good service a bit slow but well worth the wait.
Peters burgers are OK but nothing worth going out of the way for.
Now I will have to give Burger Inn a try

Burger Inn for sure. Peters burgers are gross, and have no flavour.

I've never had Burger Inn but have gone to Peter's on numerous occasions when in Calgary. I like their burgers more than I used to and still enjoy going there for the "experience" as it were. Their shakes are awesome though.
I'm with CF, Harvey's make a great burger, don't care if its a chain. I also like Burger Baron's in some of the small Central Alberta towns. Best burger I've had in a long time though was from the Steak N' Shake chain down in Florida. Now that was excellent.
I'll definately try Burger Inn now though. It sounds like I've been missing out.
