I'm not sure if it is in Canada. I have no idea how my friend got the car. I know he's told me it retails for $75k.

Actually, you can insure it. I just asked my mom. She's an insurance broker for Toole Peete.

I grew up with his kids, and all I can say about his cars is wow....it seemed like every time I went over (especially after the collector car auction they used to do) he had a new exotic in the garage. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, along with pics of all the cars they used to have. My personal fave was the Gullwing Mercedes.

That Mclaren was something else though......I never saw it race but he started it up a few times when the engine was being redone. Holy moly did I ever want to drive than mofo. He had some pretty sketchy stories about racing though; guys that would take their collector cars out to the track and write them off because they couldn't drive them properly.

Are you kidding? I see alot of exotic cars in Calgary. Drive down 17th, or walk down stephen ave during a hot/warm evening.

There was one up in the BMW dealership in crowfoot crossing. Not sure if it is there still. ZR Auto would be the best place.

Seen a few lambo's around town, saw an Enzo in bragg creek last may long. Lots of Ferrari F430's around town. The BMW dealership in the auto mall has a DB9 or Valiant (can't remember). Even seen a Porsche GT2 on the street.

I just got back from portland, and saw a tonne of amazing cars. At least a Ferrari or Lambo a day. Not to mention a few Evo 8's and sweet 180 at the drag races.

Just to add one more thing,

The used BMW dealership at the old Calgary Honda location in the AutoMall has an Austin Martin DB9 on display/for sale. I think it was at Crowfoot BMW earlier...

I also saw a new, deep blue, sweet-assed Ferrari in front of Torode's Hotel Arts yesterday.

It's still really nothing compared to cities like Vancouver or Toronto. Vancouver is not only inundated with exotics...its inundated with exotic dealerships. There seems to be one on every second block. While Calgary does have a growing exotic presence, this city is still truck and SUV central.

The best place in the world that I've been to for exotics (except for a place like Monte Carlo I assume) would be London. I have never seen so many Aston Martins, Bentley's, Rolls Royces, Ferraris etc in my life as I have in one hour in that city. The only people who drive a BMW or Mercedes in many sections of the city seem to be the help.

man, who the hell gets a Ferrari with such a bland color? What a waste of an opportunity. Im of the belief that if you get an exotic, you have three options: bright red, bright yellow, or black. It's a bloody exotic, it HAS to be outrageous.

I bet that guy bought an automatic too....

there's more here now than when i lived here two years ago, but vancouver is at least a 10-1. we need more drug dealers i think, to compete.

i should however say though that in the last 3 weeks i've seen five at least, and i'm not driving much.

I was in Banff today with the family. We were having lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory and I saw this parked across the street.

Looks like a Diablo but I'm not 100%. It was attracting quite a crowd. I've also been seeing a red F430 around the south part of the city quite a bit in the past couple of weeks.

We were in Banff too, and saw that same car! Sounded great going down main street. Don't think it's a Diablo though, I think they have cleaner lines.

Also saw a silver F430(?) going down 14th Street S this morning.

Edit: Nope, it's an all wheel drive Murcielago.

Okay, I just had the ultimate car drive past me on Deerfoot. A Ferrari ENZO F1. There are only 400 of these things in the entire world and there's one that just pulled into McKenzie Lake. It was yellow and had the Alberta plate ENZO F1.

Anyone else see this masterpiece.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_Enzo

After reading the notable owners of the ENZO it must have been Zahir Rana. Owner of ZR Auto.

That car is a Murcielago. Looks much better without the nasty spoiler.

Looks spectacular up close. Man, there is way too much money in this city.
I think I saw an orange one of these on Monday in Ottawa. Looked amazing. With the tinted glass I couldn't tell who was driving it but there's no oil and gas money in Ottawa.
