As crazy as she comes across, you have to give her some credit. She is on quite a crusade.

I agree about Hedy Fry and wackery. It's a good example about voting for the candidate and not blindly voting for a party.
To me Stockwell Day has a lot of proving to do and somehow I think it's just a matter of time until he steps into something smelly and sticky. Not that I wish this to happen.

Harper has a history for saying racist things just like Day. He hasn't in years though (unlike Day) and if he keeps it that way, I will vote Liberal but I won't vocally slam him while I do it.

Hedy named Prince George as the local of the cross burning. Pretty good choice. On a motorcycle trip through that country, I could swear I heard a banjo playing.

Why not ask for the proof before being a dick about it, eh? Give me a while to dig up the link.
Edit- I have to sleep now, the page with a direct link to the article is apparently no longer in operation so I have to hunt for it the old fashioned way, although along the way I'm finding more interesting articles that make me really not like Harper.

Great... What a classic (L)iberal. "Uhh Yeah... can't find anything... but I'm pretty sure it exists... but I found a whole bunch of stuff."
Really pathetic.

Go Harper Go. We have got more done in the last 3 months than the last two sittings of government. Nice to have a government that follows through on their promises.

You're kidding, right. No actually with you, you're not kidding. I just find it in poor taste, pun intended.

First of all, I think you're painting with a pretty broad brush there. Liberalism isn't a way of arguing, it's a philosophy--and there are all kinds of liberals. Pretending we're all the same is just a way of dodging real debate on the issues. Conservatives aren't all the same either--Harper is a VERY different kind of conservative than Stockwell Day, which is part of what this thread is suddenly about, for some reason.
But seriously, though--do you really doubt that Blaster found things about Harper that made him angry? He's a "(L)iberal," remember? Doesn't that virtually guarantee that there are things that tick him off about Harper? I think it shows some restraint to NOT post random things in a thread that's about something else, just because an article raises his ire.

I disagree Iowa, if your going to accuse someone of being a racist, or evil, and then you can't produce the evidence then your credibility has to be seriously questioned.
also if the webspace has dissapeared then I really would question the source of the material.
If your going to bring up something in a debate your somewhat obligated to prove it.

Fair point. And actually, I rather doubt Harper is either of those things.

I agree that for a lot of things a person should try to produce some evidence but in some cases such as personal experience, that can't be done. Say if someone heard Harper or Martin voice racist views but can't find a record of this. We'd have to go by the reputation of the poster.

By (L)iberal, I meant a proponent of the Liberal party of Canada. Not an ideological (l)iberal.

Well, I guess I sort of misinterpreted the brackets around the capital "L"--I thought you were implying that those two were one and the same.
The truth is, it's been a while since Liberals were particularly liberal, in my view. I guess no party so linked with the establishment can be. My personal hope is that a few years in opposition will be very healthy for the party.

You need to ask yourself how likely it would be that something like that wouldn't be leaked or hit the mainstreet media, look at the Morgan case and how something that he said a long time ago basically has destroyed him.
Hersey isn't admitted as evidence in a court of law, and it certainly shouldn't be relied on in any kind of formal debate.
And if your going to say this, it gets counterpointed if someone like me says that I met Harper and the man is a saint and dosen't have a racist bone in thier body.
