It was called Crystal Pepsi.
The best was the SNL spoof they did on it called Crstal Gravy.

That was massive. HAHAHAAH, I remember in the skit they had the same Van Halen song(Right Now) that Pepsi used in the commercial.
Another great SNL commercial is when they spoof Gatorade and use "CookieDough" ..hahahhahaha
To answer the thread question, I will have to say whatever is on sale, and Im not a cheap guy whatsoever, I just don't really have a preference between the two. I ain't gonna go out of my way to grab one or the other, but I will not buy Safeway pop, that **** gets flat after one glass of a 2 litre.

Can't stand Diet Pepsi.
Only Diet Coke and only in a can, not a bottle. The taste is different and it stays colder longer.
One can a day . . . . buy it early in the morning, still sipping into the afternoon.

I don't really have a preference either way when it comes to Coke or Pepsi. I tend to like cream soda or grape or orange crush over anything else.

Hey dude, you're in luck. There is a place I know sells it. It is an African restaurant in Kensington. There are only two, but I'm sure you'll find it in the phone book. Call them up and ask. Mt sis bought some for my birthday and it was awesome!

Speaking of diet drinks and Aspertame; has anybody seen any pop for sale in Calgary that contains Sucralose. (I may have mis-spelled a couple of those.)
I have a bad reaction to Aspertame that I never had with Sacherine, and I was hoping Sucralose would be better for me.

I'd have to say Diet Pepsi...
IF it's coming prepackaged from a store (cans/2-liter/20oz.).
If I'm getting it from a fountain, Diet Coke tastes so much better.
Used to be a hardcore regular Pepsi guy, but after drinking about 2 liters a day for a year and having to have some major dental work because of all that sugar, I switched to diet.

Hm.. I thought Coke Zero was like that but on Wikipedia it says it still has some aspertame (though not as much as diet coke). Coke C2 uses some sucralose but also has aspertame.
In the US there is a "Diet Coke with Splenda" which has no aspertame, but I haven't seen it here.

Hm.. Jones has three sugar free flavours of their colas, and they use only sucralose. Diet Rite's sodas are all with Splenda and Sunett (no aspertame), and I've read that Sobeys carries those (though I've never checked, I should go).
Also the Kirkland Signature diet cola from Costco uses Splenda (sucralose).
EDIT: Wikipedia again lol : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diet_soda

Coke, or Coke Zero. If Coke Zero is unavailable I drink Diet Pepsi.

Jones does not do Diet well. I miss their Upside Down Pinapple. That was the best drink ever.

The best Ginger Ale I have ever tasted is Verner's which is sold around the Windsor, Ontario area.

You can find Fanta at a German Delicatessen/hot food bar at the Crossroads market just off Blackfoot Trail.
Gotta love Fanta. "Because we can't let the Nazi's have Coca Cola!"

I was also under the impression that part of the point of Coke Zero was to use surcalose.
I also think surcalose and Splenda are the same thig; just one is the trademark name for it.

Verner's is excellent. I haven't had it in years, but it was always in London stores as well. It always had a 'bite' (I don't know how else to describe it).

Coke in all it's forms is better than Pepsi.
Having said that, most of the Pepsico flavours are better than the Coke alternatives, with the exception of Fresca, for which there is no substitute...
However...then there is Dr. Pepper, both diet and regular, which is currently at the top of my list.

Coca-Cola logo is all red=filled with goodness.
Pepsi logo has blue in it=originates from the pits of hell.
I don't drink either though. The more important question here should be:
Sprite
or
Make 7
Up Yours

I was raised drinking Ginger Ale whenever I was sick.
Coke or Pepsi doesn't ruin the rye when you only put in a splash.
Actually, you know what's good? Crown Royal, water and a squeeze of lime.
