... and then some. He does still bring up the fact that he was, at one point, presdent of the SU... frequently.
I really wonder how he got it in the first place, too. My question is how he manages to retain it. It really bothers me how he uses it as a title behind his name still, when he is just a glorified placement agent.
The guy is a doofus, too. I've seen him totally hammered at industry functions where he makes himself out to be a total assclown. For example, at the Dean's Christmas dinner, he interrupted a conversation I was having with a VP from EllisDon and was practically begging for this guy to toss a few placements his way. It was plain disgraceful. A very different picture than what he tries (and fails) to project onto the young students trying to get a job with the internship office.
And then there is the other point that he won't help you at all if he thinks your grades are too low, when the reality of it is that there are a lot of companies out there that don't use grades as a first priority criteria for interviewing.
He really only serves himself and does a **** poor job of it.
You shouldn't have got me started!

I'm most likely heading over to Carleton next year... but not for Journalism... instead, I'm taking Aerospace Engineering, one of the three universities in Canada to offer that program. Ryerson in Toronto and UBC but as a graduate degree... and also Carleton is the only U with that program that offers a co-op program with it.

Well enjoy it. Their co-op programs are fairly good. I did one at the CBC and TheRO. It was really a lot of fun, lots of work too, but fun.
I know a few people that graduated from the engineering programs. They all seemed to like it. Also, the engineers were all really crazy, lots of parties and such. Have fun!

Currently at MacEwan College in Edmonton(Edmonton's version of MRC), and either next January or September 2007 I'll be on to the U. Still undecided whether itll be UofA(because I live here now), UofC(because thats where I was born n raised) or SFU(because I lived in Vancouver the past two years). Goin for my Bachelor of Edu.
