I don't think anybody has said that they can't handle -15; it's just a lot of us prefer it was warmer.
And somewhere somebody is going to say "if you don't like the weather then move to California." To that I say that there are a number of factors that determine where I want to live, and weather much farther down the list.

Just curious as to how much time you actually spend outside in those -15c temperatures.

Comments like this are just plain dumb... What about all the people in Vancouver who don't see -15 very often? I suppose they're less Canadian then you?
How about because you don't work, you pay zero taxes, I work, I pay taxes and thus support Canada, does that make me more Canadian then you? I recycle my cans/bottles, newspapers, you don't, you even self admittedly throw away your cooler bottles and recyclables, thus not only are you a leech to Canada as you don't work, pay zero taxes and probably do very little, but you're also detrimental to the environment! Me on the other hand, I recycle and try to limit my damage to the Canadian environment. So not only am I more Canadian, but a better Canadian too!
See how dumb that sounds? Hmmm.. actually now that I think about it

I read this thread and expected a whole lot more griping at Jordon and none of the bad news.
Having lost my dad to cancer when I was in junior high, I feel for you Shawnski and wish for the best.
I haven't ever experienced someone close getting killed suddenly or unexpectedly, however, so I offer my best wishes to Firefly.
Me - I'm a skier but I liked Calgary when the snow and mess kept it's business in the mountains.

Probably up to 4-5 hours a day. Commuting, waiting for bus's, playing hockey.
-15 is nothing.

Blah, blah, blah...
Honestly, we're Canadian. Am I more Canadian than anyone for being able to stand the cold?? No, but this weather is nothing in comparision to what my relatives (Perhaps your relatives) had to deal with growing up. Cold weather is part of our culture. We're getting soft, especially in Calgary.

Sad for Shawnski and Firefly.
I do have to agree with Jordon on this one. We haven't had a real winter since I moved here over 10 years ago. I don't own an honest to God winter jacket, and haven't since I left the north. Maybe Fort McMurray made me more resilient? I don't know. I haven't stopped bike commuting either(except this week with my knee bothering me). It could be much, much worse, so enjoy it.

I will admit, that i'm becoming bored with this weather... I think I have weather ADD or something. If something is so stagnant and the same for weeks at a time it drives me nuts.
