I don't know Jordon personally (or in any other manner, really) but he seems to be well versed in the whole TV technology debate and has chosen his side for better or worse. I have a few techno-geeky friends and they answer specific questions the same way. They seem to assume I'm an ass and don't know what I'm talking about and they steer the conversation blatantly in the direction they feel best, my questions be damned. I've called one of my friends on it before and he didn't even realize he'd been doing it.

Like Nick Burns on SNL:
Office dude: "How do I add this address to my Outlook contacts?"
NB: "You should be using Evolution on Debian, you idiot!"

Totally helpful.

You could say that about every electronic device on the market today.

By the time the patent price gouging runs out is about the time normaly folks could afford them, a plasma/lcd purchased today will have been very useful.

I would check Memory Express - the NE location isnt the greatest for displays but the Edmonton one is if you are ever up there.

Well I'll give you my opinion

DLP's are nice... if you can't afford a plasma. HD content looks far and away better to me on a quality plasma than a quality DLP. Plus everyone can see plasma just fine, where as some people are forever cursed to see rainbows on DLPs. Regular TV does look like ass on plasma however. Althogh I find watching hockey on DLP painful as the white ice looks like it has speckles all over it
