Don't worry, nobody can hold off the temptation to touch that much credit... He will crack one day and go on a shopping spree.

I used to be like AlbertaGQ, it was boring and I hated life.....Now I'm maxed out on my $15,000 credit card, my $50,000 L.O.C., lied to get a mortgage that I can't afford, and apply for every scrap of credit they offer me. They only give us so much time on this planet, so why not live way beyond your means? I mean whats the point of living for 100 years if you're going to punish yourself by having low expectations, or only live on basic stuff? In North America they give us the privelege of excess, so I'm making damn sure I exploit it!!!!

I used to be like AlbertGQ too, but I got married while I was still going to school. Things would've been ok, but my wife got laid off 3 months after we were married, got a job fairly quickly, but two weeks pay was basically lost and that put us behind by about a month. Then we started to catch up and I couldn't find a job after graduation. Then I got a job and things are almost caught up, and bam! Stuff happens that put our credit cards through lots of usage and carried balances.... it looks like, in a about two weeks, that I'll be able to pay off the credit cards and go back to being like AlbertGQ. I'm so excited!

How did you get one? Haven't you been living in LA for awhile now? Or do you still pay Canadian taxes?

And you got the 87 cent dollar working in your favour too! Couple years ago that $400 CAD wouldn't have gone very far where you are

I don't spend what I don't have. In fact, I've had a credit card for 8 years and have paid $0 in interes in my life. I actually profit. I got my cheque for my cash back Platinum card yesterday and the cheque was for $265.38

No doubt, oh I remember the days when all my banks were still in Canada, in canadian funds and I would cringe when it cost me $150 CAD to get $100 US, it was a dark, not nice time.

I still have my address in Chaparral, where the parents live....I would just file using that address.

Almost! I remember we were the third house built there while I was still in Junior High and I would have to walk from Sundance across 22X through a field covered in knee high snow because there wasn't any bus service.....both ways.

It's a very nice place now, a friend of mine has a house backing right onto the lake with a little dock leading right from the deck, just plain gorgeous.

Depends on what LA is short for. If you mean Lethbridge, Alberta- then you aren't far off.
