Predicted final score:

Political bull**** - 39
Canadians - 0

I believe this is the 39th general election, no?

===================================

Ok...seriously. Based on the non-alignment of the planets and a random neuron pulsing in my brain, I will erroneously predict

Lib-104 ....... There are still enough people out there whose brains will shut off when they enter the polling booth and automatically X the candidate labelled Lib, although far fewer than last time
NDP-15 ....... Voting day backlash against Jack's moustache
Bloc-45 ....... Confused Quebecois heard Buzz hargrove's labelling of the Cons as a separatist party and begin a massive shift.
Oth-1 ....... Surely there's a dead candidate running somewhere, no? This is Canada isn't it? Maybe we can count PMPM as a dead candidate to fill this slot.
Con-143 ....... This seems like a lot, but it's the number that's left over after my scientific analysis of all the other parties' prospects.

Right or wrong, democraticspace has probably the most detailed riding by riding predictions. They show

PEI, all four to Liberals
NL, 4/3 Libs/CPC
NB, 5/4/1 Libs/CPC/NDP
NS, 5/4/2 Libs/CPC/NDP

and so forth. Once the election results are available, these will be a pretty good indication of where things are going... but obviously not the end all be all. So, just for food for thought, check it out....

I wonder how many seats will be firmly won by the time our tv coverage comes on?

Im sure I'm asking a very stupid question, but is any American channel covering the election by any chance?

If I remember correctly, they were the most accurate predictor last election, by a significant margin over most predictors.

Ok, surely there is somewhere in this information age world where we can find out what is going on out east. I think it is BS in this day and age that they can black out anything. I want to see the results early just as a protest for such rediculous laws. This blackout thing is just too "Big Brother" for me.

I disagree. I over the past week I have talked to a top Conservative strategist and a top elections pollster and they both throw in the estimate of around 8-12. But speculation is meaningless.

I just called a friend out east and broke the law - wait I'd have to post it for that to be the case

I think the Bloq is going to win every single seat this time especially with the whole anti-Calgary add they ran the dirty *******s.

I hope for a PC majority just so the government can get things done not like the last government.

I did the same thing - I was watching a feed in Atlantic Canada, where they had Peter Mansbridge on, and it just got blacked out at 5:30. Oh well....

The Game is on in 1/2 hour, so I'll forget about the Election for a while.

I'm looking for a double "C" win tonight - the Flaming "C" and the Tory blue "C".
