More engaged defensively, and really looked good getting to the middle and getting pucks through. Some great passes.

Was interesting to see him elevated over Weegar five on five and for the late powerplay.

He turned the puck over a few times badly, but you have to live with that as he gets accustomed to this level, and Huska did.
Of course, Weegar had a horrendous game so that played into it. But Parekh certainly seemed more confident, held his gaps better, and made good decisions. One of the better Flames on a bad night.

Last night was bad, but it was the first game back from a road trip and all the negatives lined up playing one of the best teams in the league. Moving forward I highly doubt this becomes the norm unless the team sees a big sell off of vets.
I don't see those 3 players having that level of impact, with so few games remaining. Very few players are.
The x factor is goaltending, which keeps the Flames in games they shouldn't be.
This is a bad roster, even with those guys on it. And the motivation is waning.

They will lose a lot.

Trading Kadri + Coleman + something would probably give Vancouver a fight down the stretch, though unlikely based on the gap in points.
They also have zero goal scoring. Our 4th line is our most dangerous line on many nights.

I liked his defence against Anaheim, especially defending against the rush. His offensive magic is on display, but he's still working out how to bring it against NHL competition and pace.

Getting Alexis Joseph next year would be huge for the Flames.

You could hear the hum from the crowd last night when he got the puck in the offensive zone.

Reminiscent of Johnny bringing the puck up the ice, hopefully.

I don't think we could finish dead last before Vancouver. But important lose for sure. Bring on The Tank. And don't get me wrong, I Love The Flames. I just want them to get 1st overall Draft Pick. That's all!
