I'll never forget when Claude Lemieux knocked Mike Vernon on his backside in game 6 of the '89 Finals, setting up Rick Green to score in an open net. Vernon was practically jumping up and down on his skates yelling at the referee.
Lemieux already had one of the worst reputations in the league for dirty play. For me, that play clinched his induction into the Hall of Shame.

In the early days of COVID, Sportsnet showed a bunch of old Stanley Cup clinching games, and when they played that game, the Flames' website set up a livestream with a bunch of the players from the team watching along on Zoom. When that play happened, they were all still as angry about it 31 years later as they were the day it happened.
Then, they started talking about what a horrible ref Denis Morel was and how he had it out for the Flames. That was always a conspiracy theory among Flames fans, so it was funny to hear the players thought the same thing.

The worst of the worst are quoted above IMO. Either for how they played or who they were off ice.
I LOL'd at Kelly Buchberger and his forehead...I knew exactly what you meant. However, he was weirdly a stand up leader for them during their down years. I oddly respected the guy.
What's up with Borje Salming? What did he ever do?

I also want to apologize specifically to Dino, Gio, and Jiri. I was especially harsh toward you, and I am truly sorry.
Without going into too much detail, my family and I have recently dealt with a significant level of harassment. I am not sharing this to seek sympathy, but to say that if I’ve made anyone feel even a fraction of how that experience made me feel, that is not okay. This board was not making me a better person and I was not making this board a better place. So, once again, my sincerest apologies.
There was one thing I wanted to do and I wanted to save it for the dog days of summer but I'd rather do it now. I wanted to see out of all the players in the history of the NHL who was CP's most disliked player of all time.
It will be a 32 person bracket poll like my other ones with a nomination period of a few days / a week and then each bracket will take a few days. The brackets will be randomized and no players will be seeded.
I hope everyone can enjoy the poll and that it generates some good discussion. Lastly I am sorry.

Appreciate that, honestly.
And hope you have your problems behind you.

I have tended to stop hating players with a kid growing up playing. Sometimes the on ice things are not at all representative of who they are. I used to not care for Jason Weimer when he played for us. But our kids played together and met him multiple times he's a super nice guy. I think he's Rhett Warreners cousin. Rhett is a beauty, ten times more cynical in real life.
Kesler maybe due to latest actions.
My kid kneed someone last week, tried to hit him and he juked out of the way and ahhh fata. Foolish but I don't hate him.

My cousin in Ottawa and I hated Borje in the 70s. He was the ugly face of the Leafs. We did terrible things to his hockey cards.

The biggest diving piece of kyits ever!
Luongo, Burrows, Kessler, Luongo, Bieksa, Luongo.
Every major city in Canada needs to build a statue of the Boston Bruins.
Oh! How could i forget Cooke and Luongo?!!

Jarko Ruttu always bothered me a lot. He was so sleezy and would cross the line a ton, then run away anytime things got real.
A lot of real losers on this list though. So hard to pick the worst.

That will be tested when the Oilers draft him.
That being said, I'm sure he plays better D than Bouchard.
