4th line has looked pretty good this period.

The Flames need to capitalize when Graves is out there. Besdies Skinner is due for a bad game, after playing great in 5 of the last 6.

Skinner shut the Flames out the first time he played them. He has a decent chance of shutting them out again in his first game against them as a Penguin.

Lomberg and Klapka look similar in the bench. Then they stand up.

Kadri getting tired of other teams getting away with cheating on the faceoff.

I missed Pospisil.

I didn't realize Huberdeau was out until the very end of the period when I saw the Tweet about it.

That's because Klapka is sitting while Lombo remains standing.

The breakouts really need some work. The Flames are really missing Andersson in that regard. Hopefully Parekh will be able to help with that.

I like Gridin! Weegar is really, really struggling.

I'd just play Gridin over Huberdeau rest of the year. Like, why not.

With 19 year olds, you take the good with the bad, and focus on the good things and what tools they have. But with Gridin, there's no need - he has the game of a seasoned vet, he just does so many little things right.

Shame the Russians weren't at the WJCs because Gridin would have been one of the best players in the tournament.

One thing (among many) the Flames need to focus on is getting some offensive centers that can make plays. Kadri/Frost/Backlund aren't good playmakers at all. It's a struggle to get anything going with those 3 down the middle. That's a huge, huge priority for the future. Any forward offensive skill will help, but especially down the middle.

Lomberg has one of the craziest head to body ratios I've ever seen. Can only assume his great cardio is due to carrying around that giant melon all day.

I like Gridin. But as far as little things, the first goal happened because he completely muffed the breakout, passed way behind the recipient and the Pens grabbed the puck and scored. A rookie mistake like you are saying.

The Flames in general just can't pass tonight. Giveaways across the board.

Yeah he looks like a pro. Looks like a solid future ahead for him, could be a real homerun pick.

"the Flames have numbers up ice"

yes, and the number is 2, matching the number of defenders
