I think Colorado would welcome him back, they have a window and Kadri would add depth and experience to the playoff run. He also has experience playing in their system and with many of those players. It’s a great fit but a bit of a cap problem there.

TBH I'm starting to be convinced that the Flames are actually going to trade Coleman and Kadri, who are not UFAs, so it would be difficult to claim that was not a rebuild after that

Yeah, if they continue to play Necas on wing they could get Kadri and drop Nelson down a line I guess. But there would have to be retention plus salary back.

Ya know...I think we still have salary retention spots available. If Colorado were to pump up the return we could keep some money.
It would reduce the burden on Huberdeau for being solely responsible for maintaining our Cap Compliance...

He would definitely sign for more than 21 million over 3 years if he was on the market this summer.

The Wennberg and Dvorak contracts increase the value of Kadri for sure and if the Flames decided to retain the return could be massive

Of course it's not a rebuild. They were only traded because they demanded it. Until then, Conroy was overruled by idiot Maloney who actually runs the team and idiot Edwards who micromanages every move (from Switzerland, with his own big company to run, but never mind that). Nope, it's not a real rebuild until Backlund, Weegar, and anybody I don't personally like are gone, and the team actually wins a lottery. We know the lottery is fixed, but Edwards is too cheap to bribe the league to win it.
Then, if all that happens, it will be something else. It's never a rebuild, no matter what, because the Flames always do things exactly the same way, forever. That's why they always finish just out of the playoffs and draft 16th every single year.
Am I doing this right?

Who needs a 2C?
Jarvis is injured right? Carolina makes sense and has some talent they could pony up.
Is Barkov still out for the remainder of the season? Not sure what Florida can/would offer us though.. I feel like they've emptied the cupboards to sustain their dynasty.

Yeah this all depends on the return.
Especially since these are the last of the tradeable peices, and mostly that Conroy has not gotten players these past two years that he’s wanted to actually start building a roster via acquiring players any other way, and that’s not at all in the plan.

I will give the Flames full credit for a rebuild if they trade these guys. it couldn't be said that they held back on selling off at that point.
We need as many darts as we can get.
It would be really exciting to me to have an influx of new bodies and young talent playing up on the big club to fill the void.
Huska needs to work with a roster chock full of youth already. it's what he was brought in to do as the "developmental" coach. Right now, he's leaning on the vets as much as he can. He needs to be forced into putting young players in major roles. This is a perfect opportunity for that.

As much as fans focus on what the flames can get for these assets, they're main focus should be clearing out vets to make room for younger/rookie players

Jarvis mostly plays RW.
Kadri would be an upgrade on their 2C: SEA, PHI, MTL, DET, CAR
Recently traded a C: MIN, LAK
On the outside looking in: TOR

Carolina is on Kadri’s NT list. Jarvis wasn’t playing centre though. But their actual C Kochekov is out for the season so they do need a C.

Hopefully Coleman not seriously hurt tonight.
Was hoping his leaving the bench two times was related to a trade.

Kochetkov is a goalie.
The Canes' centres by faceoffs are Staal, Aho, Stankoven, and Jankowski, followed by Kotkaniemi
