Eff that.
Gulutzan ruined Sam Bennett here. Overplayed garbage veterans, and couldn’t put together anything as a head coach here.

Scotty Bowman could not have gotten that group to do anything.

The pro Gully anti Gully argument is going to fracture the anti-Huska group!

Absolutely great tactics in D to D back to D, back to D again. The Flames were playing so slow under Gulutzan. The other team was always set up before we started to move the puck back. He could talk a great game, but never made any adjustments.

Can confirm. He was awful as bench boss here. What happened for that to change?
Being in Edmonton where the only strategy is to play the Twins more can't possibly develop your coaching abilities much.

Well he had his orders, make the playoffs no matter what with a roster that was far from a playoff team. Wtf was he supposed to do? He didn't ruin Bennett, Bennett just took longer to develop.

You just described Ryan Huska to a tee. Funny how that isn't the case after Gully left.

I must say, at least on tv, the Delta Center renovations look great. They look like they're actually playing in a hockey arena and not stuck at the bottom of a canyon.

During Covid with empty rinks I thought they would have some really cool camera angles including drones flying around above the players. They didn’t even experiment.

I thought last night against VGK they had a very good pre-scout. Generating the Coleman goal, and another great Klapka shot from the slot, from anticipating the way Vegas breaks out.

Meh, we can agree to disagree on coaching. It's a GT, should focus on that.
