Seems like you're just fixating on a few mistakes that someone like Andersson probably made twice as many of.
Not really. Probably nobody was as excited as me at the start of last year because given his junior pedigree I thought he might end up being a steal but he was just a nightmare defensively. I don't like analytics, I like the eye test. Analytics is an ok tool at times but it sure does lead to a lot of misleading things when you look at the big picture.

Barrie, now there's a guy who got beat at the blueline routinely. His analytics were horrible.

Bean-Pachal played 600 minutes together at let in 1.7 goals per minute with 56% goals for and against. Bahl - Anderson was at 2.7 and 41.4% in comparison.

At some point you'd expect someone that made a lot of mistakes to have bad goals against metrics.

Only time we've had a 3rd pairing put up those types of numbers is with Zadorov, looking far back you need Engellend-Kulak pairings to hit those stats again. And those were on a lot better teams than we had last year.

Dang, great job guys. I understand I shouldn't compare myself at twice their age and it not being literally my job to do so but it would take me like 18 months of dedication to do that.

I know it's a typo, but it's still funny.
Can you imagine a pairing that actually let in a goal every 102 seconds...

I hope Pachal doesn’t get bumped out of the top 6. I like him a lot more than Bean and probably Hanley due to grit. We don’t have a ton of gritty guys.

I’ve heard they’re not from one source.
They typically haven’t been for the last few years, I too would be interested to know if someone’s heard otherwise.

Unless otherwise noted, practices are not open to the public.

When you look at the common pairings

Bahl-Andersson: Andersson struggled last season with and without Bahl. Bahl was better without Andersson, but that might be due to the drop off in competition.

Hanley-Weegar: Weegar was just good last season. But he was better with Hanley then without. Hanley struggled a bit without Weegar though.

Pachal-Bean: Bean was pretty solid all around. Pachal struggled away from Bean. They were good together though.

I don't know what they should do this season, especially with Andersson on the way out. Weegar and Bahl were really good together when they got the chance last season. But personally I would put Parekh with him if he makes the team. Weegar just makes everyone better, and he js a great mentor.

Not that it means much, but good on Brisson, Lavigne, and McCann for making it through to main camp.

I was also very happy to see Simon Mack on Team Black.

Based on the players on each team and the position(s) for each player, this is my best guess for lines and pairings for tomorrow.

Huberdeau - Kadri - Coronato (TR)
Zary - Backlund - Coleman (TR)
Farabee - Frost - Sharangovich (TY)
Lomberg - Pospisil (Kerins getting reps) - Klapka (TY)
Kirkland (TR)

Bean/Hanley - Weegar (TR)
Bahl - Andersson (TY)
Hanley/Bean - Parekh (TR)
Solovyov - Pachal (TY)

Wolf (TR)
Prosvetov (TY)
Cooley (TR)

Looking at those groups, Team Red will likely be the roster for the game in Calgary on Sunday and Team Yellow will be the roster for the game in Edmonton.

Not looking good for Poirier. I don’t think he will be in the system much longer.

Yeah for his role especially ... he was great.

Not great with the puck.
Not great in transition.
But doesn't give up much.
Keeps plays alive in the offensive zone.

I always saw him as a potential kulak. Got squeezed
