Not sure where to put this, but for cold case crime sleuths it sounds like they finally solved the Yoghurt Shop Murders in Austin Texas from back in 1991. A serial killer was behind it, and other murders he's been tied to him all these years later.

Absolutely unbelievable, gemological DNA testing strikes again! I've read a couple books, and watched multiple documentaries on the case. There's also a Netflix documentary series in the works.

What makes the case worse is the police bungled the case initially and wrongfully put four men on trial back in 1999. Two of them were convicted One of the convicted actually ended up on death row, and another was killed in an altercation with police years later. Many thought they were guilty of the murders all these years later. Pretty sad stuff, as the police basically forced them into false confessions.

I murdered my toilet this morning after having some exceptionally spicy Indian food last night which I then followed up with a whole tub of Ben and Jerry’s.

For a place with a murder in it, was it actually called the 'Yoghurt' shop?

I believe a second shooting victim has since died. The shooter also torched the church building and there are concerns that others may have been trapped in the fire, but that will only be confirmed after the building is searched post-fire.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/highway-shoo...yers-9.6964241

"A 42-year-old Regina man has been arrested and charged in the death of Tanya Myers, a passenger in an SUV who was shot and killed while driving on a highway near Weyburn this fall.

RCMP have arrested Chris Fahlman, charging him with several offences including one count of manslaughter with a firearm in relation to Myers’ death.

Myers was travelling in one of two vehicles that were hit by bullets while driving on Highway 39 near Weyburn on the evening of Sept. 12.

Andrea Morrice, Myers’ friend, was driving the SUV at the time and previously told CBC that the gunshot to her car was so loud she thought something had burst inside her ear.

““When I looked and saw Tanya’s face, I could tell she was in a lot of pain and I right away just called 911,” she said.

Morrice said Myers, 44, knew what had happened.

“It just really feels like I got shot,” Myers told Morrice.

It wasn’t until paramedics arrived and were trying to revive Myers, whose pulse had stopped, that Morrice noticed a bullet hole in the back of her SUV.

“I could see a hole coming through the back seat, going through the back of the passenger seat,” she said.

The driver of a second SUV travelling along Highway 39 at the same time as Myers and Morrice reported to police that their vehicle had also been shot.

RCMP say a bullet was found in that SUV’s tire.

1 bullet hitting a vehicle could just be a tragic accident, but seems Fahlman was shooting with intent being that a 2nd vehicle was also hit. Disturbing that he even made a Facebook post in response the the RCMP post seeking public assistance regarding this shooting.
