Agreed about the Flyers and Pens being somewhat comparable to the Flames and Oilers. Flyers fans have had to watch two full generations of their regional rival being gifted contenders and seem to have to work twice as hard for everything. Granted, in the pre-cap era, the Flyers had a huge advantage that the Flames would never know, but everything else seems comparable.
That dynamic gave me a soft spot for the Flyers and a dislike for the Penguins.

We should do a daily vote a team off the island poll similar to the prospects ranking poll Bingo does every year.

Yeah, it'd be fun if Bingo added this to his annual CP polls. We'd be able to look back through history and see which teams have gone from hated to not so hated and vice versa! An example would be the votes for the Canucks from say 2000 to 2015 and then from 2015 to 2025, where I'd imagine a pretty big shift from number 2/3 on the list with Edmonton and Tampa Bay to maybe 7/8 today behind Vegas and other risers? Would also be neat to see how long it has taken many fans to get over 2004 and the hatred for the Lightning based on their movement down the list.

I agree would be fun daily summer poll to accompany the prospect ranking polls.
Would be interesting to see how the ranking shift year to year.

Yeah, if Bingo can start a daily poll right after the prospects ranking, it will take us 30 days, which will be the start of training camp.
Please make it happen!!

The real question is who is the 3rd most hated team after the Oilers and Canucks.
I bet it comes down to Ducks, Leafs, Knights.

Canucks aren’t even in my top 3 (anymore, the Sedin era they were just as bad as the oilers). Oilers, Leafs, Golden Knights, Ducks, Buffalo and NJ for hoarding first overalls, these guys could all make a case.
Plus the flames vs canucks had the most entertaining faceoff since I can remember with the puck drop line brawl.

Probably, but it should be the Habs. Played them twice in the Finals, and boy did they ever get away with ####.

I didn't like how there were brackets with two vile teams against each in the first round like Oilers vs Ducks and Canucks vs Kings while other brackets were Senators vs Blue Jackets, whom I would consider myself a well-wisher of both teams or Blues vs Mammoth where it's just like mehhh for both

Does it even qualify as a city? Seems like more of a hamlet or shanty town.

I think "dump" is the word you are looking for to describe what kind of municipality Edmonton is.

Will always have the Oilers and then the Nucks as the most hated being our close rivals.
Then there are the Leafs who are overhyped and over saturated in the Canadian sports media.
Vegas comes next as the evil empire of the NHL ruthlessly bringing in the best players and bending injury rules.
The Ducks round out the top 5 with the brawl, Honda center curse, and never beating them in the playoffs.
Dishonourable mentions to the Hawks, Rangers, and Lightning.
