Got Blizzard of Ozz new, then all the Sabbath stuff. Incredible career. He’s been around my entire life. Diary of a Madman, War Pigs, Bark at the Moon, Children of the Grave… so many great songs.
Saw him 9 years ago, Sabbath tour. ####ing incredible. RIP you madman.
Had a chance to see him in YEG about 30 years ago but got called in to work and had to miss the concert. I'm still regretting answering the phone that day.
Given his excesses he should've died forty years ago. Say what you will about Sharon - and there's a LOT you can say about Sharon Osbourne - but she really did keep him alive far longer than he would've lasted on his own.
Somehow Al Jourgensen is still alive at 66 years old. I don't know how some of these rock stars manage to hang on after abusing their bodies for so long.

feels a bit like when Lemmy died. Lived far longer than you'd think, given all the alcohol and drug abuse, but still feels a bit surreal when it really happens.
Lemmy actually wrote "Mama, I'm Coming Home" and a few other popular Ozzy songs
I love all his Black Sabbath stuff..even the "lesser" albums are very good IMO.
But his solo stuff was always too ballady for me and never could get into it despite trying several times. Anyone wanna recommend something? I want to give his solo stuff one more shot.
The Ultimate Sin (Jake E Lee is just fantastic on that album) and No More Tears were his two albums that I probably listened to the most. Ballads on both albums though.
Henry Rollins was interviewed on CNN about Ozzy yesterday. I didn't realize that they were really close. They seem kind of like opposites in some regards. A lot of Ozzy's image revolved around his history of making unhealthy decisions, while Henry Rollins is in known for his clean and healthy lifestyle.
