I'm going to go with the suggestion to only advance Stockselious for tomorrow.

He had an edge in round 13 that had me humming and hawing about just graduating him, and now he's running away with the run off.

It almost seems as he's trolling to drum up controversy and anger over the list, essentially generating more interest. You see this tactic a lot - I've noticed occasionally they'll intentionally get a guys name wrong, or his position, or number - and inevitably the comments are loaded with people correcting it.

Did you read how he does this?
If not you can here:

I don't think he's trolling. It's a stats-based model that ignores any eye test (from what I can see). I think it's good to challenge if the model is solid or not, but I always appreciate views that run counter to the prevailing views.

Doesn't mean it's trolling. It's just different.

I can tell Darren Hayes had AI write that article. I just see the AI lingo throughout it.. is this what life is going to be like now?

Voted Stockselius, agree to put Kerins back in the poll so his placement is more accurate. I think most people have him in the late teens, we mostly know what we have in him at this point and its more likely that Suniev or Honzek get a call-up as a winger than Kerins. If were being honest the likelihood of him outplaying Farabee/Sharangovich/Coleman and earning a middle 6 role in camp is low and he mostly got signed for depth and a slim chance of being a black ace if we make the playoffs.

Kerins for me again. Betting his high skill and scoring touch overcome the rest.

I wrote out this big response, but after re-reading it I sound like a conspiracy theorist. Just some things stood out like writing "So, who broke through in their third year post-draft?" and "What about in their fourth year post-draft?" instead of just making a list. It being broken down into 3 paragraphs also seems like how chatgpt would do it.

That is definitely a ‘tell’ for AI (or lazy human reporting, which makes up a lot of any AI's training text). It seems LLMs would rather be wordy, and write things in straight narrative format, than save words and improve clarity by making lists.

I noticed a long time ago that short game write-ups in almost any major sport are longer and less informative than the bare scoresheet. But editors seem to think the write-ups are better journalism.
