Sorry folks. 2 hours ago I prompted Goffie to hurry up and make a pick. I got a ‘looking now’ response. He’s sleeping. He might wake up and press the submit button but when you have that many grey hairs and realize you're old as fawk, sometimes you just go to sleep.

Pace on the picks, really has to speed up, or we will need to be on a zoom call Saturday morning for rounds 2, 3 and 4

Calm down, we're fine.

You do realize, intent was to finish all 4 rounds during the week?

I'm fine either way, I can attend the zoom call on Saturday.

well, the idea was to get as far as possible in this format, then clean up on Saturday. This is a trial run for everyone, so I'm not sure it was realistic to expect to get through all 4 rounds.

Personally, I think it's been fine. Sure, a bit faster wouldn't hurt, but we're 28 people with work and personal lives, living in different time zones. Some delays are inevitable.

I agree. I don't pick tp 37 so I'm not waiting around all day knowing I won't pick. Seems like trade activity is up during the draft too.

Wish it would go a bit faster but it is new and I just want to pick

Yeah I didn't think we could get through all the rounds. If we get far enough, then we could consider not needing the live draft which would mean we need to be confident that we can get through 4 rounds in about 2 weeks. What I want to avoid is
- Teams dumping picks because they don't want to attend the live draft for the 3rd and/or 4th rounds (which is why we will reject deals that are dumps)
- Or we don't get it done by the time the NHL draft starts such that those with picks left have an advantage by being able to pick players that go earlier and are still available.

So we'll let it play out, but for now the live draft is likely to still happen.

I think a major intent in this hybrid approach has been the slow it down and promote trade talks and I think it’s been great for that

Agreed! The talks I had potentially can set up conversations for later down as well. I liked the hybrid approach so far.

This has been way more enjoyable. We're, as a group, more active right now than even the end of the regular season. I think we could start a little earlier with this next year, especially if we finish the season so fast.

I don't think we can start any earlier. There are not enough lists released by then.

I will add 4 picks in an entire day isn't great.
We can/should move faster than that.

Hybrid system is great but it needs to get done before the weekend. If it doesn’t it’s a failure IMO.
