Spring 1989
I was 2.5
Thunderstorm in Saskatoon, parents loaded me up in the green car to move to Calgary.

Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. I was 4 years old at the time and I can remember watching JFK address the Nation. I didn't grasp how grave the situation was. Just that my parents seemed very concerned with what was going on.

About 25 months old, had my tonsils out and remember the nice nurses giving me ice cream in the recovery room for 3 days, also remember at 3 having to hold a towel on my head while my dad drove me to the hospital for stiches, don't remember getting the stitches though. funny, I remember lots of stuff from 3 to into my 20's but after that I have to be reminded.

I remember being born.

It was all black and warm and suddenly it was very bright and very cold, and generally way worse. It's gotten a little better since then, but not by much.
