Crazy to hear about these injuries on this day, I’m sure every team has them but wow.
I guess I’ll chat about the Ras comments on Team Tank since I’d probably say I’d lean on that side of the fence. For me though, it was always about asset management. Utilize older players to acquire young assets, don’t trade assets for older players, utilize cap space as required to acquire more assets, stuff like that. Conroy I think did a lot of that this year. Maybe did I want a trade or too more, sure, but overall I’d say I was happy with the moves this year.
I understand though that players themselves will never tank and as a fan I don’t cheer or want them to lose. I watch almost every game and I’d be miserable if I was upset for a win and I was devastated when we missed the playoffs and was at the game when I found out about Minny.
In my mind I truly believe you need elite game-changing top end NHL talent to win a cup. I still believe that. You also need a lot of other things. This team this year developed a winning, resilient and strong culture and I don’t want to lose that. What we also got, is I think two players who will be that top end talent in Zayne and Wolf. Wolf you could argue is already close to that as a rookie. I’m very excited for our future.
Please don’t cheer to lose as a fan! Good luck next year boys! GFG

These guys really deserve to be in the playoffs. I don’t recall ever feeling so positive about a non-playoff version of the team.

As long as everyone was satisfied that playing wouldn't make the injury worse or harder to heal, and as long as there was no one better to take the spot (and there really wasn't) I'm fine with Andersson playing.
Even when Parekh was available it wouldn't Rasmus you take out. It would be Bean or Pachal. And they were on a roll at the time.
