Right? And I could be wrong. Maybe they are worse, I don't think they will be. I think Parekh is a plug and play top D man. I think a full season of Frost and Farabee will see them put up better numbers. I think Wolf will only improve. I think the young players will take another step. I think Conroy probably adds another LD to solidify that side. I don't see where this team goes backwards personally.

Great guess. It was a guess not based of the roster. If they didn’t get great goaltending and play a stifling style they would have been in the mix. They scored the least goals in the NHL whole you spend the offseason talking up the forwards and signing Kuzmenko to an extension.

How am I whining by saying what I want to see or predicting what the team will be like? If you want to see who is derailing the thread and whining take a look in a mirror. not sure if you watched the last quarter of the season but the Flames were playing solid...nothing about it was a fluke or unsustainable.

I expect them to boost the lineup, both internally and externally. I think there is a good chance they are better next season. For sure? obviously not.

"other teams will get better" is the worst argument ever...teams will get better and teams will get worse, like every other season. Who cares.

So anyone who doesn't think the Flames will be worse next season isn't allowed to talk?

Just like last summer when anyone who didn't think the Flames were bottom 5 wasn't allowed to talk because they were delusional homers.

Flames had 27 regulation losses this season, thats top 8 in the league. They are adding a top rookie that can maybe help in those 3 on 3s. There is reason to belive they MIGHT improve.

Really fun season, but team overachieved. I'd stay the course. Graduate 1-2 defensemen. Graduate 1 forward. Trade Andersson at deadline for a first round pick.

If team underperforms next year, they have a shot a a good pick.

Hold on to draft picks. Don't sign ufas.

The problem with dealing Andersson is now you're selling low. Should we keep him for another year to see if he bounces back?

Anyways, I'm optimistic about next year, especially if Sharky heals back to 100%, and guys like Zary, Coronato, Frost, Klapka, Pospisil continue to improve. And of course Wolf has another lights-out year.

REALLY looking forward to seeing what Parekh can bring. That said, Flames are thin on the blue line even with him being added to the team, so let's see if Conny can make a sneaky-good pickup in free agency.

I wonder how much GM's are going to put stock into Andersson's plus minus. Is it going to hurt his value or are they going to look past that and value his skill level more. What do we think he can fetch asset wise? I still think he can get a first personally.
