Flames are going to have life again if Minnesota drops this in regulation.

Still have to more or less win out so its not rainbows and unicorns, but technically with the head to head they will back "in control" of their destiny, as hard as that is to believe.

Barring a comeback, Wild can max out at 99 points and Flames 98 with the Flames able to cut Minny's down with the head to head.

Save it for next game! Make it pretty.

In fact, take your time Alex. Waste as much of Gretzky's time as possible.

Wild get Dallas tomorrow who still have a chance to catch Winnipeg for 1st in the West. They'll be playing hard. Then all the pressure to win against SJ before the Calgary game.

Definitely wouldn’t want to be the team who draws the Blues in the first round. Dallas will be pushing

Minny is slumping 4 losses in a row. Imagine the sharks or ducks can take a point or two from them

If the Flames get 98 that means they beat the Wild. 5 points with 2 games and a head to head. Its a tall task but its in their hands

As that one poster said, a team has yet to get to 96 and not qualify.

It looks like that will be the case here again.

Flames need to go 6-1 and beat the Wild to get in.

Leaves them room to drop one against Vegas in their two games, which seems likely anyways.

Let's hope and pray that LA game isn't meaningful to the Kings. That race looks tight though.

Dallas and Minny play Sunday.

Dallas plays tomorrow and travels. That doesn’t help.

We already know Minnesota beats Dallas on Sunday. Dallas dominates them and gets up 3-1 in the second but the Wild make it 3-2 mid third period. Stars have the fourth goal called back on a coaches challenge. Dallas then chokes on the easiest empty net chance in history and Minnesota ties it up in the last thirty seconds with the goalie pulled. OT win.

This movie is on repeat.

Yeah, it seems like for the Flames, things don't break their way for more than a game or two at most.

The hope is snuffed out as quickly as it arose.

Meanwhile St. Louis can shoot blindfolded and score crucial goals at will.

I hope that horseshoe team is fuqing swept.

The Red Wings hang on to win 5-3 with a late empty net goal. The bullseye is on the eighth place Habs. Detroit is four points back snd the Islanders are five back!
