Yeah, if teams still want to use the LTIR space to acquire someone then fine. But come playoff time you're either sitting out the guy who was on LTIR, the guy you acquired, or you're replacing other players with cheap AHLers who chances are not as effective depending on how deep the team is.

I think the league needs to come up with some sort of review system that you can phone into that will decide on whether your roster is compliant or not before each playoff game. This will make it fair to every team and be clear as to why a player is allowed to play or not.
