Think they're talking about Backlund...

A nice 3 or 4 game run would be sweet.

I’ll do my part when the Flames are here. A couple years ago Drew Doughty couldn’t stop making eye contact with me during a TV timeout. It was weird, but then I realized if he’s thinking about me then he’s not thinking about the Flames

Was at the game tonight - first in person game in awhile. Great new scoreboard! Wolf was unbelievable. Whole team struggled, but so did the Habs. Actually a pretty exciting 1-0 game to be honest.

That kids lateral movement and puck tracking are unbelievable at times. Gives them a chance every night.

He’s still better than Rooney, and whoever is next on the depth chart.

The eastern time zone Flames fans have been eating good this last couple of weeks!

It's so hard with Backs, he's clearly struggling through something and it shows. But then his line is out there doing such heavy lifting and really does seem to just bring the best out of whomever is with them.

Would it work having him anchor the "4th" line in some fashion? This is also to get Zary back to center too.

Huberdeau - Kadri - Coronato
Sharangovich - Frost - Pospisil
Farabee - Zary/Backlund - Coleman
Lomberg/Rooney - Zary/Backlund - Klapka

I love what Lomberg brings and I suppose the team/coach does too but I do wonder what that 4th line could look like with him in the box for a game or two.

Essentially in the above, you limit Backs' ice time a bit, and allow Zary to grow a bit too.

I didn't realize that the Oilers are only 6 points ahead of Calgary. That's pretty pathetic by the Oilers, a team with no 1st round picks for the rest of eternity.

The next four games who do you want defending Pettersson, MacKinnon, Matthews, Zibanejad/Miller? It has to be Backlund. He’s not like last year but this is clearly working for the Flames.

They have 1 pick in the first 5 rounds this coming draft.

I don’t think 90 gets you in, but we have the tiebreaker against everyone.

Plus he stays so compact moving across his crease. No holes. And he keeps his stick on the ice.
