Carolina can't take much less than they gave up. They could've made it work with Rantanen as a rental if there wasn't the offer that got them to save face after the initial deal.

Not to discredit Stankoven as I think he will turn out to be a good top 6 forward but I think his name value is higher than what he actually is

guys its not like the deal is 1 for 1 its Stankoven++
I think the kid will be a player. He had 8 points in 10 playoff games last season as a 21 year old

Robertson had a rough start to the season but he’s been one of the best players in the nhl since just before Christmas. If he’s included in this deal, Dallas made a huge mistake.

Dadonov doesn’t make as much as I thought he did. Marchment makes more sense

With Seguin out for the year does Dallaa need to send back much? Especially if Carolina retains half of what's left on Raantenen. Plus if Heiskenen is out until the playoffs start, that's two big tickets on LTIR.
