I'm still having visions of an 8-way tie from the last wildcard spot to the 10th draft pick, sorted out by tiebreakers or all-in mud wrestling, whichever.
And someone on CP will insist that Conroy made the team finish with that exact number of points on purpose, and also rigged the tiebreakers so the Flames wouldn't be first or last out of the 8-team pileup.

If making the playoffs is the goal they can’t rely on Miromanov or Solovyov and Barrie isn’t that guy anymore and hell Ras maybe isn’t even that guy

Nobody is angry, we are being realistic.
What exactly is the point of making the playoffs, if we aren't going to have a chance to win a series? What is the point of losing a series 4-1.
We need to get some talent and a top 10 draft pick helps with that.

Playoff experience for our young players, especially Wolf. Not to mention weird things happen in the playoffs.

The lowest wild cards and 8th place teams have a 28% success rate. The only bad thing is to get a 11-16 pick.
