This is incredible for the Panthers. Knight is good and can be very good in the future but totally redundant for them when you have Bob making 10.

I'd much rather try and take a prospect like Sawchyn off their hands. Alberta boy, right handed C, has been good for the Oil Kings.
Balinskis is 28, I don't really see how he'd fit the timeline for us.

Seth Jones at 7.1 million is a pretty good deal for the Panthers. Costs them a late first and a guy who might be a goalie. Suspect he looks a lot better in Florida than he did in Chicago. Suspect Knight looks a lot worse.

I'm so thankful they failed at getting Jones. I agree that they have to focus on upgrading the D and C in the long term, but Jones is pretty mediocre. Sure his size is intriguing but he doesn't add much these days.

They need to get help for Connor Bedard so he has offensive talent to work with.... I'm no expert but I don't think more goalies is the way to do that.
I'm not 100% sure about Knight this year but he seems like a good addition for them.
