All this "conceding a loss" talk...you know what's going to happen, right? Vladar is going to stand on his head and prove everyone wrong.
If I've learned one thing about the Flames over the years, it's that they always do the exact opposite of what you expect from them, both for good and bad.

Just saw Huska's quote about needing both goaltenders and I'll reference FBI's post above (which references another Huska quote).
I won't beat this horse to death but the coach is talking out of both sides of his mouth. I've generally been in agreement with many of his decisions but this one doesn't pass the smell test. I will be happy to be wrong though, always happy to be wrong in a situation like this!
Unless Wolf is sick this is just plain bad coaching.
TBH it's a bit of a tough one.
Vladar last played Feb 2, if you only play him in the Carolina B2B then it's March 2nd, so a full month between games and you're throwing him into a B2B situation against a tough team.
This is probably a game that Wolf can't steal for you anyways, maybe putting Vladar in makes the whole team play a bit more focused and responsible tonight.
With 26 games left they probably want to play Vladar about 7-8 of them is my guess and they only have 3 B2Bs. (If Wolf plays 18 more games that would be 52 appearances for him on the season, and 8 more games for Vladar would be 30 and my gut is that's the split they are aiming for).
Bahl is Back, Solo stays in. Vlad gets the start? Fine by me. This roadie is a roadie through hell and you need both goalies to participate. Doesn't matter when Vlad starts his games really, he has to play a couple that's just the way it is.
But the most important bit of info today is that Bahl is back. That's the most important and best news today.

Best hair in the NHL. Although neither guy impressed in training camp last (?) year on PTO, having him and Eakin on the flames that year would have guaranteed us best team in the league for hair- mullet and poofy hair. Might have even finished worse and got a better draft pick lol.
Guy has had a rough ride this year in WSH though... healthy scratch a bunch then injury since november.

Good! I hope you are right.
I want good draft position as much as anyone, but I still cheer for Flames to win.
This is a can't lose season. Make the playoffs, better draft position; whatever happens should be OK with fans.
That Dylan Strome, what an awful hockey player. It's a real wonder that he's the #1C on the best team in the league, with far more points than anyone on our roster when he's so slow and doesn't play Defense. I am glad that the flames never even offered him a contract because he wasnt their type of player.
