Durable durable durable. Commercial grade quality and they actually wash your clothes with the high powered motor and a full tub of water. They are designed to last 25-30+ years, have lots of available parts, the suspension in them is very high quality and it's a basic design.
The downside to these machines is the upfront cost, they are not really energy efficient but electricity isn't very expensive for a washer and they have a smaller load capacity. People try to do a week/month worth of laundry in one shot with other machines and the energy efficient motors don't have the power to do the job and they burn out quickly and the suspensions break.
The other benefit of these machines is they are designed to be rebuild with parts and repairable, unlike other brands where parts are no longer available. The best combo is buying the high quality washer and saving money on a basic dryer on sale.
